Google’s new Fitbit leaks again in new images
There’s been something afoot with Google’s wearable range since the Pixel 11 launch and now we have more images of what looks like it will be called the Fitbit Edge.
Google accidentally showed the device in multiple adverts for the Pixel 11 and Pixel Watch 5, having not mentioned the new wearable during the Made by Google event. Speculation ran wild and we concluded that it wasn’t some kind of AI-image mistake but a successor to the Fitbit Charge 6.
Earlier this week we got leaked images and some specs for what we dubbed the Fitbit Charge 7 for obvious reasons, but it turns out Google will be calling it the Fitbit Edge. We’re not exactly sure why Google is opting for a new brand name, but we should find out soon.
It’s rumoured to launch this month and via Evan Blass, we have more images of the wearable and effective confirmation of its name, which sits between the Fitbit Air and Pixel Watch 5.
Two of them match the images from Android Headlines but another shows a white model AH didn’t have. This makes sense considering one of those adverts inadvertently showed the Fitbit in white.
It looks like the Fitbit Edge will come in four colours then: White, Black, Olive and Canyon – with different body colours likely to be Silver, Black, Pyrite and Champagne Gold respectively.
There’s still a lot to find out about the new fitness tracker when Google does announce it, such as the official price and various specs.

For now, it’s expected to not run on Wear OS, last for up to 7 days and offer specs like a small oval screen, NFC, GPS and various sensors including heart rate.
It will reportedly run on both Android and iOS like previous Fitbits and no doubt you’ll have to pay for Google Health Premium to access features like the AI Health Coach.
Leaked prices for the Fitbit Edge suggest it will cost £159 in the UK and €179 in Europe. We’d expect the US price to be similar to the Euro figure.
