Garmin’s Enduro 4 is defying the global RAM crisis
In what feels like the complete antithesis to current trends in the tech industry, Garmin has unveiled the latest watch in its Enduro series, replete with 50% more RAM than before and, astonishingly, no increase over its predecessor’s price tag – at least in the US.
UK consumers weren’t quite so lucky, as there is a slight increase, jumping from £769.99 to £799.99 (with the watch still costing $899 in the States). But to see any attempt to keep pricing largely the same is quite rare nowadays, and if you’re in America and considering picking up a new hiking/running watch, the Garmin Enduro 4 could be a compelling long-term option.
Not another minor update
While undoubtedly premium, the Enduro 4’s price tag becomes even more impressive when you consider the upgrades Garmin has added.
The big improvement over the Enduro 3 is that the RAM is greatly expanded, complete with claims 30% faster map panning as well as quicker response times when exploring the UI.
This also paves the way for a new ‘Perspective View’ feature, which allows users to get a more detailed look at what’s ahead of them on the track, allowing them to adapt accordingly.
Enduro watches are best known for their cutting-edge battery life and that very much continues with the Enduro 4. Although it retains the same 90-day longevity between charges as its predecessor, there are two new modes that are crucial for when users are tracking workouts: ‘Max Accuracy’ and ‘Max Battery’.

Garmin
Max Accuracy is for when you’re not too far from a charging outlet and are happy to engage all of the tracking features for a shorter workout, whilst Max Battery is designed for marathon and ultra-marathon runners who want to avoid getting anywhere near a dead battery at all costs.
Helping to give even more coaching ability to running enthusiasts, there are now grade-adjusted, paced-based workout targets included on the watch. to make it easier than ever to engage in workouts that best understand your current bill of health.
A premium Apple Watch Ultra rival
