Galaxy Z Fold Wide leaks leave little to the imagination — Explained
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide has been spotted in life, essentially confirming (in case there was any doubt) that it’s a real product.
Korean website DCInside has published a pair of grainy zoomed-in photos that seem to show an anonymous person using a suspiciously wide Samsung foldable in a restaurant.
It seems to be contained in a bulky case to hide its shape, but there’s surely no denying this is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. Or perhaps the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, depending on the naming scheme Samsung pursues.
One of the shots also seems to confirm that the Wide will only pack the two cameras.
No details have been supplied to accompany these snaps, but that’s fine. Another source has you covered.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide specs
Elsewhere on the internet, prolific Samsung tipster Ice Universe has been posting a series of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide specifications.
According to the leaker, Samsung’s forthcoming iPhone Ultra rival will weigh 201g, which is 14g lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. We also get more snaps of a Galaxy Z Fold Wide (Z Fold 8 below) dummy unit alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The tipster has shared another comparative snap of the two devices, this time opened out and face down.
Another post claims that the phone will run on a 4800mAh battery, with support for up to 45W wired charging.
Interestingly, the tipster claims that the Fold 8 Wide will pack in a new 50Mp main camera sensor that defaults to 24Mp snaps.
Samsung is expected to launch its new foldable range at a London Unpacked event on 22 July.
