Google Health 5.07 rolling out with better manual logging, maps, & more — Explained

Google Health 5.07 is rolling out on Android and iOS with meaningful updates to manual workout logging and a handful of bug fixes.

Version 5.07 lets you manually enter more metrics, with additions appearing in “workout summaries more quickly once you’ve made them.” There’s also a sizable update to map performance. The update is still rolling out on Android and widely available on iOS today.

The full list of improvements and fixes is organized into three categories:

Activity and Fitness Updates

  • Improved Manual Workout Logging: We’ve made three updates for users who log exercises manually. First, you can now add and adjust more metrics when logging an exercise manually. Your edits will also show up in the workout summaries more quickly once you’ve made them. And finally, you can now log more metrics when switching from a pool to open swim exercise.
  • Maps: We’ve continued to improve the maps experience, with faster loading times, and smoother rendering and adjustments. We’ve also fixed an issue where maps were occasionally missing when using your phone to track a running, biking, or walking session.
  • Running Distance Totals: Trail runs and incline runs now count toward your Running Distance totals.

Weight Tracking Updates

  • Weight Graph: We’ve recalibrated the graph’s dynamic minimum and maximum range so your weight trends and changes are easier to view at a glance.

Health Connect Updates

  • We’ve fixed an issue that caused some Android users to lose their connection with Health Connect. If you were impacted, you’ll now see Health Connect listed in the Partner Apps section of the Connections screen.
