Leaked Galaxy Fit 4 could make the Fitbit Air look expensive You Should Know

Samsung is working on a new Galaxy Fit fitness tracker, according to a fresh claim.

The Galaxy Fit 3 launched more than two years ago, but it seems the company hasn’t abandoned its budget fitness trackers altogether.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Fit 4 is now in the works and should launch before the end of 2026.

However, it’s not expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8 and brand-new Z Flip Wide at Samsung’s rumoured Unpacked event on 22 July. Instead, the company will look to unveil it alongside the Galaxy S26 FE and the Galaxy Tab S12 around September.

Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 likely specs

There’s nothing in the way of information on what the Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 will look like or any of its new features. We’re not expecting anything radical, however, based on the history of the series.

The Galaxy Fit 3 was a much simpler device than the Galaxy Watch series, costing just £60 and running an RTOS-based operating system rather than full-blown Wear OS. It would be a surprise if the Fit 4 aimed for anything grander, given its expected price point.

Given that the Fit 3 cost £49/$59.99 at launch, its successor should remain one of the cheapest fitness trackers you can buy. Significantly, it’s likely to also undercut Google’s new screen-free Fitbit Air, which costs £84.99/$99.99.

Of course, the Fit 4 will be a very different proposition, with an OLED display setting the two apart. The Fit 3 also had fall detection and emergency SOS calling, two things that the Fitbit Air lacks.

As the report points out, one relatively easy addition to make would be a GPS function, which was notably lacking in the Fit 3. Being able to track your runs accurately without needing to take your phone out with you would be a significant advance. NFC for contactless payments would also be a big step forward.

Samsung’s next wearable launch should be the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 series, which is likely to make an appearance at the aforementioned 22 July Unpacked event.

Its most notable feature will be the adoption of Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, which will see Samsung dropping its own home-brewed Exynos chip in the range in favour of something a little more punchy – especially when it comes to on-device AI.
