One of the top-looking phones around could get US launch
Motorola could be planning to bring its super-slim Signature smartphone line to the US in 2027.
The Motorola Signature might not be the best phone of 2026, but it’s certainly one of the slickest. With a 7mm-thick body and a luxurious soft-touch finish, it sits in the hand way better than all those iPhone wannabes.
It’s pretty easy on the eye too, especially in its Pantone-approved Martini Olive colour.

At this point, a huge chunk of our English-speaking audience is probably looking blankly at the screen. You see, the Motorola Signature never made its way to the US.
The company recent issued a pop-up teaser on its website, offering a moodily lit close-up of a new phone’s camera module, together with the phrases “Signature 27” and “A new perspective is coming”.
Motorola also supplied the option to sign up for updates.
What this leaked teaser tells us
It doesn’t take a genius to discern that this teaser relates to the follow-up to the Motorola Signature, which launched in early 2026.
What’s interesting is that this teaser was issued on the company’s US website, suggesting that the new device will also launch on the other side of the pond. Motorola often adopts a simple date-based naming system for the US market, so ‘Signature 27’ could well be more than just a working title.
The teaser was quickly removed, suggesting that someone at Motorola HQ jumped the gun here. Thankfully, Android Authority nipped in and grabbed the image before it was taken down.

The phrase “A new perspective is coming” is interesting, especially given that the focus is firmly on one particular camera. Assuming the camera layout is the same as the Motorola Signature, this would be the telephoto lens.
Could this suggest that the company is going to be going beyond the 3x provision in the original Signature? A 5x periscope, perhaps?
Given that the Motorola Signature launched in early January, it’s likely we have around four months to find out.
In other slim phone news, it appears that Samsung is bringing back its offering with the Galaxy S27 Edge.
