Xiaomi’s cumulative vehicle deliveries best 800,000 as Sky Nomad launch nears
- The milestone comes about 29 months after Xiaomi began delivering its first model, the SU7.
- The Sky Nomad extended-range SUV lineup launches in hours, with its performance set to determine whether Xiaomi can reach its annual target of 550,000 deliveries.
Xiaomi (HKEX: 1810) founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun said on Weibo on Monday that Xiaomi Auto’s cumulative deliveries had exceeded 800,000 vehicles.
The milestone comes hours before the launch of the Sky Nomad lineup. The series’ 3 extended-range SUVs will officially go on sale at the company’s fall product launch event at 7 pm Beijing Time on Monday.
Xiaomi Auto began delivering its first model, the SU7 sedan, in April 2024, reaching the 800,000 milestone in about 29 months.
Cumulative deliveries crossed 700,000 in May 2026, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. The latest 100,000 deliveries took only about 3.5 months.
As of the end of July, Xiaomi Auto had delivered 767,630 vehicles, comprising 499,175 SU7 sedans and 268,455 YU7 SUVs.
Xiaomi Auto previously said August deliveries again exceeded 30,000 vehicles, marking the fifth consecutive month above that level, without disclosing an exact figure.
The company delivered 216,322 vehicles in the first 7 months of this year, up 14.83% year-on-year. Using 30,000 as a lower-bound estimate for August puts deliveries for the first 8 months at about 246,322.

That represents 44.8% of its annual target of 550,000 vehicles. To meet the goal, Xiaomi would need to average about 75,900 deliveries a month from September through December, roughly 2.4 times its actual July volume.
That makes Sky Nomad critical to its sales growth. The lineup initially comprises the N70 Pro, N70 Max and flagship 7-seat N90 Max SUV, marking Xiaomi's first entry into the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segment.
The N90 Max has a pre-sales price of 299,900 yuan ($44,240), while the N70 Max is priced at 259,900 yuan. The N70 Pro was not mentioned in the earlier pre-sales announcement.
Lei said on Weibo on Sunday that the extended-range vehicle project began in March 2023 and had undergone 3.5 years of development.
Neither extended-range nor battery-electric technology is inherently superior, he said, arguing that what matters is the product experience.
According to Lei, the N70 Max offers a CLTC battery range of up to 505 km, while the N90 Max has a combined range of 1,705 km on a full tank and a full charge. The N70 Pro's fuel consumption is as low as 5.7 L/100 km with its battery depleted.
However, the extended-range segment has been shrinking. Retail sales of EREVs in China fell 15.35% year-on-year to 535,000 vehicles from January through July, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
The evening event will also introduce the Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable smartphone and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max tablet, the first devices powered by Xiaomi's Xring O3 chip.
Xiaomi's event is scheduled for 3 days before Apple's September 10 fall launch, at which the US consumer electronics giant is expected to unveil its first foldable smartphone.
