Here’s the Windsor Collection, from Swingandamiss

9/3 Update: All cars in The Windsor Collection are now live! The full list of links can be found at the bottom of this post.
We’re happy to introduce the Windsor Collection—the first presented by long-time BaT seller and commenter Swingandamiss, who appropriately hails from Windsor, Connecticut. For a group of just seven cars, the collection covers a lot of automotive ground with offerings ranging from a classy pre-war Packard to a rare ’80s sport truck. Auctions will begin going live on Tuesday, September 2, and additional lots will be added over the following days.

BaT member @TimM happened upon a submarine along his travels—a strange sighting considering he was approximately 1,000 miles from the Atlantic Ocean! Our newest Success Story video is a bit of a departure from the norm. Most of our subjects grew up with some sort of attachment to and appreciation of cars and car culture. Old cars weren’t a part of Ranna‘s life until very recently, but through running her family’s home design business she developed an eye for style, an appreciation of craft, and a fearless approach to life. On a lark, she bought a blacked-out 1979 Corolla on BaT in January, taught herself to drive stick, and has been enjoying the change of pace that comes with driving a fully analog vehicle. We spent the day with Ranna, her family, and Doom (an adorable Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix), and we’re excited to share her story.

With the Gruppe P collection from Bond Group and Road Scholars, we’ve been celebrating Porsche’s 75th anniversary for three years running. With the superlative Stuttgarters they keep bringing to the site, the collection (now at nine parts and counting) just keeps getting more exciting. Several of the Porsches offered in Part IX have our jaws on the floor, including our first-ever Porsche 904 GTS, our third Porsche 910 (the first—chassis #022—appeared in Part I), a pair of 356 Speedsters with your choice of taillights, a factory-built 914-6 GT Group 4 racer, and a Carrera GT with less than 2k miles on the clock.

Video Inspiration: Concerto for V12 in Zandvoort, by Colombo: A Practical Look

Our newest treasure trove of onboard clips comes from Robbert Alblas, who for the last three years has been filling up his YouTube channel with rich cinematic footage taken from behind the wheel of various historic racers. This week we’re highlighting a video featuring a faithfully recreated Ferrari 250 GTO ripping through an old layout of the Zandvoort circuit with Dutch racing legend Nicky Pastorelli at the helm. This particular car was built over several years by Ferrari specialists Roelofs Engineering using a mix of original factory components and custom parts. And while not one of the original cars produced in the early ’60s, it’s a 250 GTO in every other way.
