6/24/26 Event Coverage:
The ImageStreetClassics team returned to Zandvoort to represent BaT for 2026, landing right back into our can’t-miss-it spot in the Historic Grand Prix paddock. The weather was, for third year in a row, unusually hot for June in the Netherlands—or so we’re told, though it’s starting to look pretty usual to us.
This handsome trio of Skylines comes to us from @1600veloce, and two were built and tuned by NISMO at their Omori factory. We spent decades waiting for the Skylines of the 1990s to hit their 25th birthday, and we’re happy to say that all of these have reached their maturation date and were imported into the US in 2025 and 2026. As with many Japanese tuner cars, their lists of special equipment and desirable modifications are seemingly endless, and there will be plenty of minutiae for the JDM-heads among us to obsess over at length. For now, we will provide but a preview—we don’t want anyone getting overstimulated.
Two weeks back we hit a new record for site volume, and the milestones just keep coming as we hit the 250,000 auction mark this week. We’re pinching ourselves over here at BaT HQ, and we are ever grateful that we’ve had the best online community in the world alongside us for this incredible journey. As a small token of our appreciation, we have prepared our curated list of the Weekly Weird and Wonderful, a collection of the vehicles and auctions from the last seven days that we found interesting, exciting, odd, or all three at once.
BaT Local Partner RS Autohaus in Glen Cove, New York, presents this collection of nine speedy road cars unified by their red bodywork. Among the bunch are low-mileage examples of crowd-pleasing Porsches like a sub-1,000-mile 997 Turbo Coupe and a sub-2,000-mile 992 GT3 Touring, as well as two mid-engine V8-powered Ferraris in Rosso Corsa. The wildcard here is a Ford Focus Saleen N2O, the only car model ever equipped with a nitrous oxide kit from the factory. Bringing it back down to Earth is a a nicely-equipped Signal Red R129 500SL from 1993.
6/30 Update: Well, our winner’s announcement was delayed a couple days, but we’re back to hand out some prizes! Your favorite High Mileage Hero this round was the 200k-mile Viper belonging to @Viper1952 and picked up by our Australian friend @Basil017 a few years back. And our favorite comment? That was the one left by @TheRealGuitardave, who wrote about his own Viper experience and clued us in to an Aimee Mann song we hadn’t heard before:
