The Weekly Weird and Wonderful

As the week draws to a close, we invite you to take a look back at some of the more interesting auctions that have popped up here on BaT. We are always amazed that, after nearly 220,000 auctions, we still regularly see things we haven’t seen before. It’s a testament to the breadth of interests represented by all of you out there in the BaT community—there’s no end to your enthusiasm. That’s why we are happy to present you with this curated assortment of weird and wonderful cars from the last seven days of auctions. And there are of course many other treasures to pore over on our live auctions page.

The countdown to the holidays is officially on, and we offer you this week’s piece as a bit of a respite from the seasonal crunch. Of the 900+ listings currently live on BaT, nearly 50 of them competed as interesting or unusual to make it into WWW—as always, we struggled to constrain ourself to the tidy list below. So if you’re in search of more goodness, please head over to our live auctions page and try—just try—to take it all in.

You didn’t think we were going to take a day off, did you? No! In fact, we’re rolling in with this week’s Weird and Wonderful list one day early, lest you experience BaT withdrawal over the Thanksgiving weekend. Even in this holiday-truncated week, there were plenty of interesting vehicles to choose from; the list below only scratches the surface. If you need more in order to get your fix, please head over to our live auctions page after the dishes are done, and click around until your heart is content.

For a good many of us, the sky is dark by the time work is over on Friday, and all we want to do is retreat to the safety of the caves to warm our faces with the glow of the LCD screen while we ponder the finer points of automotive arcana. It is for this purpose that we present this week’s selection of Weird and Wonderful vehicles, plucked from among the ~1,000 live auctions continually running on our pages. We do not endeavor to make this list comprehensive, because we know you have things to do, but if you’re in need of more goodness please head over to our live auctions page and do whatever the opposite of doom-scrolling is.

Welcome to the Weekly Weird & Wonderful—our bi-fortnightly collection of the coolest, strangest, and most interesting cars currently on BaT. Today’s edition is bursting at the seams, and we dare say that it only captures a sliver of the noteworthy vehicles up for auction right now (you know it’s a big week when a Mitsuoka Viewt and a hangar full of warbirds are left on the cutting room floor). If you’re curious about what else is on the site—and we hope you are—please head over to our Live Auctions page and tell us what else catches your eye.

You’re undoubtedly hearing all sorts of crooning about it being “the most wonderful time of the year,” but that’s only part of the story—here on BaT, the “weird” quotient is pretty high too. Today we have assembled a motley gang of beauties, oddballs, scofflaws, and backroad brawlers for your amusement, and wildly enough, it’s only a small percentage of the truly interesting auctions we had to choose from. The rest of them can be found over on our Live Auctions page, where you have our full permission to spend unlimited time, even if you’re on the clock. Just let us know if you need a note for your boss.

We’re coming to you with last week’s edition of the Weird and Wonderful one (business) day late, esteemed BaT readers. Even in an abbreviated work week, there were plenty of interesting vehicles to choose from. As always, the list below merely scratches the surface. So if you didn’t get those particular socks that you were quietly hoping for, then head over to our live auctions page to cheer up with some more vicarious living.

We tip our hats—not only have you officially made it through another week, but the holidays and, not to mention, another trip around the sun. If you’re needing a break from all of that travel, then may we present you with this week’s Weird and Wonderful. As always, this list is merely a snippet of goodness, so we encourage you to check out our live auctions page for more.

We’re already two Fridays into 2026, and that’s an exhausting thought. Most of us don’t get a vacation to recover from our vacations, so we will have to make due with some short-term amusement—like the Weekly Weird & Wonderful, which we have once again compiled for you upon this cold(?) winter’s eve. With almost 700 auctions live already since the holiday lull, there are treasures on this site in abundance—and today’s post is but a small fraction of the goodness available for your perusal over on our live auctions page.

It’s been a big week! We just wrapped up the 2025 BaT Awards, and now we’re here to send you into the weekend with another installment of the Weekly Weird and Wonderful. Below, you will find a tightly curated selection showing a few of what we have subjectively determined to be the most interesting vehicles on BaT this week. We hope you enjoy it, and as always, there’s plenty more to explore on our Live Auctions page.
