    “These cars were so ahead of their time. Supercharged, intercooled, 4 wheel discs with ABS, IRS with adaptive damping, even pneumatic adjustable side bolsters. I still have my 35th anniversary 5 speed version, and it remains a pleasure to drive unlike most crude live axle domestics of the era.”

    6/24/26 Event Coverage:
    The ImageStreetClassics team returned to Zandvoort to represent BaT for 2026, landing right back into our can’t-miss-it spot in the Historic Grand Prix paddock. The weather was, for third year in a row, unusually hot for June in the Netherlands—or so we’re told, though it’s starting to look pretty usual to us.

    In 2023, we celebrated the 100,000th Bring a Trailer auction after nine years of selling cars. A mere three years later, that number has doubled and then some—as of today, it stands at 250,000 and counting! The online auction landscape has exploded over the last 12 years and continues to grow and change. Through all of that, we can attribute the ongoing, linear success of BaT to “our people.” This site continues to thrive thanks to all of you out there in the BaT community—sellers, bidders, commenters, and staff—coming together every day to labor and wonder over the wheeled and geared contraptions that have so captured our imaginations.

    Understanding 2026 Michelin Tire Giveaway, Round 5—Congratulations, Vintageant!

    I remember in the early 2000s when all the trade rags showed the new Mustang. they were beautiful. I would periodically go and test drive them. I remember once driving a GT with a 3.73 rear end and a 5-speed manual and that thing had some git up and go!

    My flight to Phoenix got in on time. Wasn’t as bad as most. My seatmate was a chatty blonde eighteen-year-old with big blinky blue eyes who cheerily introduced herself when I first sat down. Saw me glance at her name tag and explained she was on her way to Lubbock, Texas, to attend missionary training school. I asked if she’d ever been to Lubbock before and she shook her head sweetly. I said I had and found it to be a pretty cool town. Told her it was Buddy Holly’s birthplace and she crinkled her nose and said she didn’t know who that was. I laughed then quickly sang a few choruses of his more famous tunes—“Peggy Sue,” “That’ll Be the Day,” “Oh Boy”—but only got a goofy grin out of her. No matter. I spent the next two hours listening to her talk about how wonderful her life had been thus far and how excited she was about all the terrific plans she had for her future. I smiled wistfully all the while, remembering what it was like when I had more days in front of me than behind me, back when I was giddily optimistic and ever-excited for tomorrow, constantly wishing it’d hurry up and get here. Then, just like that, it had.

    The Skyline Collection, from 1600veloce You Should Know

    This handsome trio of Skylines comes to us from @1600veloce, and two were built and tuned by NISMO at their Omori factory. We spent decades waiting for the Skylines of the 1990s to hit their 25th birthday, and we’re happy to say that all of these have reached their maturation date and were imported into the US in 2025 and 2026. As with many Japanese tuner cars, their lists of special equipment and desirable modifications are seemingly endless, and there will be plenty of minutiae for the JDM-heads among us to obsess over at length. For now, we will provide but a preview—we don’t want anyone getting overstimulated.
