Understanding new BaT Local Partners in the UK, NY, NJ, MD, VA, WA, CA, TX
Today we announce the addition of seven new shops in our BaT Local Partners Directory, including a new partner in the UK: Sports Purpose, with whom we will be collaborating at the Bicester Scramble this Sunday! This network of trusted facilities exists to help private owners with every facet of the BaT auction process, from preparation and presentation to auction management and logistics. At the end of the day, we want every seller to get any help they might need to list on Bring a Trailer, and our Local Partners have been instrumental to this effort. Sports Purpose—Bicester, UK
As we offer BaT services to more and more of the globe, partners like Sports Purpose have proven invaluable in adapting the specifics of local regulations and customs to our marketplace. They come to us from Bicester, roughly equidistant from London, Birmingham, and the Cotswolds, and founder James Turner is an industry veteran of nearly 30 years, including a stint as Commercial Director of Aston Martin Racing. From their facility at the former Bicester Aerodrome they offer special expertise with Porsche vehicles, though their capabilities extend to any make or model. Epic Motor Cars—Buffalo, New York
Car culture runs deep in Western New York, home to important sites like GM’s Tonawanda Engine Plant and Ford’s Buffalo Stamping Plant, as well as the birthplace of important 20th-century manufacturers like Pierce-Arrow, Curtiss, and Thomas. It’s also the home of Epic Motorcars, known on BaT as @EpicMC, who have racked up an impressive 96% sale rate listing everything from motorbikes to prewar runabouts to multiple Multipla project cars. Husband-and-wife team Lou and Donna Visone operate the shop; these veterans of the auction and concours worlds also serve as officers in their local Rolls-Royce Club chapter. Auto Vault—Monmouth County, New Jersey
Auto Vault is the operational name of longtime BaT seller and member @The_Dude_Abides, who has conducted 462 auctions (and counting) including two collection sales. Most recently, you may have seen his name as the seller in this March 2026 Success Story about his personal Honda Element. In addition to preparation, presentation, and representation, Auto Vault offers collector car storage and maintains a comfy clubhouse. The_Dude_Abides is one of our more active commenters, and his knowledge of BaT community dynamics and expectations has made him a keenly attuned and responsive seller—just the kind of person you want representing your car on BaT. PurMotive—Cockeysville, Maryland
PurMotive are our kind of car people—their auction history contains some truly bizarre gems like a twin-turbo TVR 280i and a Scout-bodied Nissan Titan pickup, among other things. They also have the honor of being our first Local Partner in the great state of Maryland. Group C Curation—Alexandria, Virginia
@GroupCCuration further expands the mid-Atlantic Local Partners network, specifically in the Capital Beltway area. The owner, Casey, is a lifelong car nut from a l0ng line of car nuts, and he is active in the vintage racing scene with his own 944 Turbo Cup tribute. While Group C Curation is a relative newcomer to BaT, they’ve maintained a 100% sale rate thus far—here’s hoping they can keep it up! In addition to standard Local Partner offerings, Group C has participated in the Porsche Restoration Challenge and maintains a strong network of local service and restoration shops. Motorcars Limited—Mount Vernon, Washington
Mount Vernon, Washington, sits midway between Seattle and Bellingham, making @MotorcarsLimited our northernmost Local Partner in the United States. Their facility offers vehicle evaluation, preparation, cataloging, professional photography and videography, auction strategy, buyer communication, and final coordination, and they also maintain a service department and can coordinate transport and delivery. SoCal Vintage Collection—San Diego, California
SoCal Vintage Collection, known on BaT as @socal_vc, is another relative newcomer with a 100% sale rate thus far. Their personal predilictions run toward Toyota and Porsche, but they offer meticulous preparation and expert representation for any marque, as their sales history attests. HCC Specialty Cars—Dallas, Texas
@HCCSpecialtyCars is our second Local Partner in the DFW area, operating out of a new 12,000 sq. ft. facility in the Design District where they offer car storage in addition to preparation and representation services. Their photo galleries are consistently well done, and they specialize in interior refurbishment and the kinds of cosmetic repair that can make a big difference at auction.
