What to Know About baT Auction Success Story: pevans’s BaT Garage
BaT member pevans has built himself a home garage of sorts around his BaT wins, which include a 2002 Panoz Esperante purchased from Techno, this 1991 Porsche 944 S2 sold by Pipoto, this 1986 944 Turbo auctioned by jmtwilson, Indy Car carbon-fiber bodywork offered by IvantS8, a quarter midget racer project listed by Markwins123, and his partner’s 1992 Porsche 968 cab bought from Local Partner motorcarmarketusa.

I wanted to send you a different kind of Success Story. I’ve been building onto my existing garage, and while we were hanging up some wall art, my partner in crime—Brenda—made a remark: this was a garage that Bring a Trailer helped build. I stopped what I was doing and looked around. “Well, I guess it is,” I replied.

My first BaT purchase was back in 2019 when I won this 2001 Panoz Esperante, which can be seen on the bottom of the four-post lift. (I’m happy to say that I own four Panoz GTS race cars that I use to compete in SCCA events!) Above it is the 1991 Porsche 944 S2 that I won in 2020.

Brenda’s 1992 Porsche 968 cab sits two over from one of my most fun cars—my track spec 1986 944 Turbo that came from a great man in Ohio. I race it at my member’s track, Eagles Canyon Raceway, in north Texas.

Last but not least is some great wall art, also won on BaT—the bodywork from an Indy Racing League Dallara race car and the Larc-Douglas Offyette quarter midget racer project.
In a very real way, this is a garage that BaT built. Although I wish you had been there to sign all the checks that it took to get it finished, LOL. A few more lifts are on the way, along with floor tiles, and we will soon be ready to add more cars to the shop. Thanks, BaT, for all you do for the car fans in all of us.
The garage build is certainly progressing nicely, pevans! We appreciate the kind words, and thanks for writing in.
