“New for me as well! “Scorpio” caught my eye – I had an ’89 Merkur Scorpio from new for several years and really liked it. But it had a V6 which I think was also used in the Bronco. It has always been my dream to own a Clive Cussler owned vehicle. As Mr. Cussler created my all-time fictional hero, in Dirk Pitt.
To this day, part of my automotive bucket list if I ever had lottery money, is a Cussler musuem collection vehicle. Right after a MB 540K and a Duesenberg SC cabriolet.
As a child growing up, I was a rabid James Bond fan, and had started scuba diving at 12, and become a member of the Cousteau Society the same year.

“Still my favorite of the Cobra-R models. I know the 2000 seems to be everyone’s top pick, but I like the trimmer lines of the first generation SN95 and the ease of the 351W. I guess this one has such low miles it would be a shame to drive it much, but I would drive it regardless.”

My current 993 cup-based racecar has THEE original M64/70 993 Cup 3.8L engine that was originally in this BaT car listed (before John Ruther had it converted to an RSR, courtesy of Alwin Springer of ANDIAL and who was also the head of PMNA back then). Basically I have the original low hours still-sealed 3.8L Cup motor and original motorsport ECU/DME that belonged to this car listed when it arrived stateside back in 1995. Small world indeed!”

“Honda corporate donated 50 of these Big Reds to our Sheriff’s department in 1990, and provided advanced training to me and the rest of our deputies who were assigned these vehicles, including taking on thick underbrush at speed, when a four wheel ATV would dry dock. They became marked tactical vehicles for an amazingly-wide variety of extreme duties. What a magnificent machine. GLWTA!!!!!”

“I’ve owned my S1 since 1979, worked as a mechanic at a Lotus dealer 1972 – 1974. When I drive and park my Elan in Elkhart Lake, it draws a crowd.
