Yesterday’s comments of note You Should Know
A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“We had the paint shop “Marauder” line at STAP I had the opportunity to work on these beautiful cars. There were about 8 of us on 2 shifts that made certain that they were gone over with a fine tooth comb!! Often they were sent through clear coat x2 so they were perfectly done! We would hang a heavy metal washer from a wire inside the car from body shop so everyone knew it was a Marauder. They were signed off by 3 different people before they got shipped to chassis!”
“At the age of 74 and having owned almost 200 cars over that span, I enjoyed many different cars, many muscle cars back in the 70’s when they were several years old and pretty much worn out by then…still tons of fun, I also owned several sports cars two Spitfires, and a ’63 Austin Healey Sprite, and three Fiat 850 spiders. But one of the few cars I always dreamed of was a TR6. Never had the money when a deal came along. I hope the winner will be as excited to drive this as I would have been…”
