Adding a new brand can be like welcoming a new member of the family. When I’m writing for the Tights Blog, I introduce new brands all the time. UK Tights has over Forty brands now. With swimwear, it’s a lot more intimate. With swimwear, we try concentrate on a handful of luxury designers. Recently, we’ve welcomed a brand we feel fit right in. It’s a brand that captures what we’re about. Cotton Club Swim Style There’s been an excited buzz around Cotton Club. They’ve decided, like so many clever designers, that internet is the way forward. We had already met their agency, who is also Le Bourget’s representative. We saw them in a show and asked us to come to the private showing of the new Cotton Club season. After they announced Cotton Club was willing to go digital, we signed on the line which is dotted. It’s customary to only order a select few designs with swimwear items. This time we brought on six and we wanted to show you one of them. Brezza is one of the best items of swimwear for contrast we’ve ever seen, the lively red and dusky blue are opposites of one another but also go so well together. Contrast is the easiest and most exciting way to create something fashionable and we think that Brezza is one of the most accomplished at creating this effect out of any bikini we’ve ever seen. It’s here! It has arrived! And… it’s amazing! We are in love of the Gottex Cruise 2017 Swimwear and Beachwear collection and we can’t help ourselves sharing our excitement with all you. It’s a difficult thing to do, complimenting the rest of your outfit and surrounds whilst contrasting them, but it is certainly possible. Alba has been working closely with them for many years. And they have lent their business experience to growing the Gottex name. The agents are intimately tied into the design process too. They offer feedback on what retailers loved about each Gottex collection. They can give us more of what we love! Andrew is a very talented agent who knows what makes good swimwear good and what makes everything else less memorable. Here’s what he told us about Gottex and their ethos. They always go for one characteristic in their designs, simplicity. Most of their designs are elegant and simple without crowding the swimsuit with unnecessary embellishments. Why is that, exactly? Simple designs are versatile and timeless. If you have a simple swimsuit, you can combine it with an equally simple pareo or a densely patterned one. If you have a swimsuit that’s too full of detail, it’s not so easy to pair with other patterned accessories. Gottex Swimwear Has Unbeatable Quality Surface pattern design is where Gottex excels at style, but what about the swimwear construction? Looking good doesn’t necessarily make something last. So how is it that a swimsuit from them lasts years longer than any other? It’s all in the fabric. Gottex test a huge range of fibres and never switch to anything new without thoroughly testing the samples first. It doesn’t matter how expensive or rare a fabric is. This designer is aware that the internet is becoming a huge marketplace and that people are using it to shop for everything. So they put that extra effort in to bring you the images you need to shop for a new swimsuit or bikini. They produce a large portfolio of photography in order to show all the best parts of their swimwear collection and so you can see each design from different angles and in various colours, something that internet retailers have rarely been able to feature in the past. Indeed, many current top models walked the catwalk in these swimsuits in the past, from Irina Shayk to Naomi Campbell. More recently, Kate Bock has been the face of Gottex’s anniversary collection.
