It has only been a couple of days since we had the chance to see what are the 2019 swimwear trends and we are already loving them! One more year, we have analysed every single swimwear and beachwear style at Moda Calida Swimwear Show to bring you the latest news on what swimwear trends we’ll be seen in 2019. Because it’s never too early to think of what you’ll be wearing to the beach next year, right? Even more when two of our favourite brands of swimwear were introducing their new collections. Do you want to see before anyone else how are Gottex 2019 Swimwear and Dolores Cortes 2019 collection like? Keep reading! 2019 Swimwear Trends are 80’s-inspired Yes, that’s it. You’ll be going from the beach, back to the 80’s soon. Do you remember what was hot in the 1980’s? Psicodellic bright colours, geometric prints, influenced by the Pop culture, but also loads of colourful floral prints, which somehow put together the modernity of that time with nature. Let’s see some great examples we spotted at Gran Canaria Moda Calida, the only European swimwear catwalk, based in Canary Islands, Spain. The floral-printed swimsuit has come to stay! The floral printed swimsuit has come to stay and we couldn’t be happier about it. Do you remember how much we loved Gottex floral prints in the 2018 season? We just love a good print, but especially if it’s a floral one. You must have seen floral prints out there in dresses and skirts this year, too. Beachwear and swimwear couldn’t be the exceptions, as you can see above, in Dolores Cortes 2019 (left) and Gottex 2019 (right) collections. Pop and geometric prints hit the beach! We don’t know if you have noticed, but striped swimwear is right on trend at the moment. Take the example of this striped Watercult swimsuit, this vertical-striped swimsuit by Piha or this elegant monochrome striped swimsuit. The best thing about the striped swimwear is how flattering it can be. Just look at these styles above. Don’t they look fab? For 2019, striped swimsuits get more colourful, maybe influenced by the pop prints of the 80’s. Who’s ready to flaunt her curves in the beach with a geometric-printed swimsuit in bright colours? We know we are! And if you fancy a tribal print… Bright colourful geometric prints merge together with the tribal trend, so popular this season! 2019 Swimwear trends leave behind animal prints with tribal adornments and move towards minimal plain swimsuits or geometric-inspired prints. If you love Aztec symbols, you’ll love the 2019 tribal swimwear collections. Plain swimwear: Simplicity and sophistication Plain swimsuits are hot, too! On the one hand, we have some stunning plain styles with great designs, like these beautiful cut-out swimsuits above. What’s not to love in a cut out swimsuit? Monokinis are also on trend in 2019, just like this season. Looking at the styles in Canarias Moda Calida swim show, you can notice a rise of simple, yet super stylish plain swimsuits. We found many swimwear styles in earthy colours: brown, beige, oranges… as well as a few pastel tones. Not everything is about the pop-bright colours! Sometimes the most simple swimsuits are the most elegant Simplicity and sophistication come hand-to-hand in Gottex and Dolores Cortes swimwear and beachwear. In fact, this last white swimsuit is featured in Harper’s Bazaar’s list for the ten best swimwear styles seen in the catwalk. Would you wear your swimwear as outwear? Fashion trends seem to always cyclical. If you read a fashion magazine these days you will see 70’s inspired patterns, such as florals and diamond prints, high leg cuts (just like those from the 80’s) and minimal clothing, which is a 90’s revival trend! Minimal is also a growing trend in swimwear, where the less is more look can make you look sophisticated and smart also in the beach. Why should you invest in minimal swimwear?  Minimalistic swimwear gives more importance to the shapes and cuts than other styles. A cut-out, deep V neck or high leg cut defines the whole piece of swimwear. Fashion designers love minimalism. So do swimwear designers and this season they’ve gone for minimal-inspired white swimwear. We have actually spotted a few of these high leg and deep neckline swimsuits in the last edition of Miami Swim Week. Celebrities also love white swimsuits. Model Bella Hadid and Trudie Styler, wife of Sting, were spotted in white swimsuits while on holidays at St. Barts. What Is Jamu All About? The company name reflects their new direction. “Jamu” is Indonesian and means “medicine”, showing the world that Jamu’s work has a therapeutic quality. It is great at bringing confidence, pride and self-esteem back to the women. Especially those who have endured difficulties and obstacles in their life. My ambition is to give those who survived the ordeal of breast cancer a range of sensuous mastectomy garments that give them back their sense of femininity. With the new year, it’s time to revisit the top trends we loved in 2017. What did you love? What did you hate? It’s time for us to talk about the swimwear trends you’ll fall for in 2018: The low backs, the beautiful prints, the lace, the embellishments (yes, we said lace and embellished swimwear styles). After all, with so many swimwear styles to choose from, looking at fashion trends can help you make the final decision. Today we’re talking about one of those swimwear trends everybody will be talking about in 2018: The High-Neck Swimwear. Miraclesuit goes for an elegant version of the high neck swimsuit in some of its 2018 swimwear style. Spoiler alert: it looks fab! That should give you a clue of how much we love high-neck swimsuits. We may have started this post with Miraclesuit, but we must admit nobody does the high-neck trend as Gottex does. Profile by Gottex, Profile Sports by Gottex, Gottex Jewel Box, Gottex Couture and, of course, Gottex Cruise. Every single Gottex collection includes high-neck swimsuits and bikinis. While there’s something for everyone, we simply adore high-end swimwear with high necklines. Even more when all the attention is driven to the neckline area, just like these two beautiful Gottex styles. Gottex’s exquisite designs are to die for, but that isn’t the only swimwear brand for high-neck swimsuits. If you feel like adding a touch of elegance to your beach wardrobe, without spending too much, you also have quite a few pretty options. Just look at the style below. Isn’t it a stunning red swimsuit? We welcomed Forever Unique swimwear to the company a few months ago, but it has quickly become one of favorite brands of swimwear whatsoever. The reasons? Great quality, elegant finish and good price! This red high-neck swimsuit below is part of Forever Unique 2017 collection, but there’s much more to come in 2018 and, spoiler alert, you’ll love it! Last but not least, a special mention to one of those attractive budget-friendly brands: Phax. Just like Gottex, Phax went strongly for the high-neck bikini trend in its 2017 collection. While Phax collection included a number of gorgeous high-neck styles, choosing the best one had zero difficulties. Here you have it; our favourite high-neck bikini. Starting this weekend, Coachella festival is the very place for celebrities and cool people to meet and celebrate together the starting of the Festival season. While here, in Great Britain, weather isn’t always as pleasant as California’s sunny days, Coachella always becomes a source of inspiration for all fans of the Boho-chic beachwear style. What to Wear to Coachella: Embroidered Beachwear Tassels and embroideries are two of the most typical features in Boho-inspired beachwear and a Coachella‘s must-follow trend. What to Wear to Coachella: Fringed Beachwear Do you remember we included fringed beachwear in last year’s feature of the best celebrity styles of Coachella festival? Fringed beachwear is a Coachella must-wear style and this kimono above is just ideal for it. When the music festival is over, you can wear it with this matching bandeau bikini as in the picture. Quick Tip: Fringed kimonos and kaftanes can be worn as beachwear, loungewear and outwear. Miami Swim Week 2016 is over and it has left us so many gorgeous designs. Many of our favourite swimwear brands were there. This swimwear catwalk is always a wonderful source of inspiration for us. Do you want to know what are the Top Swimwear Trends we’ve spotted at Miami Swim Week 2016? Plunging Neckline Miami Swim Week 2016 has marked the return of the swimsuit to catwalks. Swimwear designers have gone for sexier versions of the classic one-piece. Inspired in the 70’s, plunged swimsuits are called to be a Must-See of Summer 2016. Hot As Hell and Maxim featured very similar styles to the one in our picture above. High Leg + (Very) Low-Waisted Bikinis Low-waisted bikinis are back to Fashion. However, if you fancy high-waisted bikinis, do not worry: they aren’t gone yet! Marcelle and Indah are some of the designers who have gone for this trend at Miami swimwear catwalk. Halter Neck Swimsuits Along with plunged necks, halter necks will be absolutely hot in 2016. Lybethras & Gottex, in the picture, have featured this trend, which is meant to be one of the next season’s top trends! Animal Prints Had Animal prints ever stopped being into Fashion? They’re coming next season as spectacular as always. Montoya and Sinesia Karol were some of the swimwear designers who have gone for animal printed swimwear. Our best-selling brand Roidal is also going to introduce a great aminal-printed range in blue and turquoise. Truly beautiful! 70’s prints: Contrasted florals We’ve also spotted 70’s inspired very contrasted floral swimwear. Pale colours are hot in 2016, too! Tori Praver and Hot as Hell are some of the names behind this trend, which we have already seen in Diva swimwear range! 70’s prints: Tribals prints Tribal prints are really popular this season and they’re staying in 2016, crossed with some other prints (left). Swimwear designer Diva has already featured this trend, which we’ve spotted also in Luli Fama and Robb & Lulu catwalks! 70’s Trends: Lace & Denim Other 70’s-inspired details were lace, crochet and denim. 2016 Swimwear trends copy the Fashion trends of SS15, meaning you can mix and match your tops and Summer dresses with your swimwear.
