The first collections of Swimwear for Spring Summer 2015 have already arrived to UK Swimwear. We already love the colourful Gottex Swimsuits and the fabulous patterns of Diva Swimwear. We’ve put together a list of top colours for Spring 2015 to guide you in the seeking of the perfect swimwear, before you give a sneak-peak at the New Swimwear collections. Spring Summer 2015 Colours: Blue Swimwear Aquamarine, Scuba Blue and Classic Blue (from lighter to darker). These three blue tones are meant to hit the beach in 2015, along with Lucite Green and Glacier Grey. Cold tones give a fresh sensation, don’t you think? Denim beachwear is one of the summer fashion hits! Had you heard abut it? Last season we lived the comeback of denim to fashion. Denim shirts, denim skirts, denim shorts and, finally, denim dresses! How not, this season denim is moving from the street to the beach. Do you want to know why is the denim beachwear becoming the summer hit and how do you have to wear it? We tell you here! The greatest reason to wear denim beachwear is another, though: You can wear it from the morning to the night and it will keep on trend all day long. In the morning, go for colourful Boho looks. The Gideon Oberson swimwear range this year has been remarkably varied. The inclusion of snake skins and other natural patterns is present of course. But this has not stopped them from jumping to the other end of the fashion spectrum too. They have done this with massively abstract shapes and out of the ordinary art. This piece of swimwear looks like one of the latter patterns. But it contains much more than you might first think or see. The bright and vibrant splashes of colour are ink blots up close. But pull back from the canvas for just a moment. You’ll start to see the tapestry as a whole, as it’s meant to be seen. And isn’t it gorgeous. Slowly, the patterns become a lot more noticeable. Then the warm, summery flowers start to emerge. This design contains the hint, just a hint, of some beautiful and delicate flowers. It’s like a painting, a work of art and one where you kind your own meaning to the imagery. The presence of a floral pattern isn’t a truly definite thing, but that’s the point. It may stand out to one person and not to another, but here lies the genius of good swimwear design. It can appeal to any human being, no matter their tastes because of it’s myriad possibilities. The stark white background only serves to enhance this. It makes the colours more rich looking than a crowded design would. Gideon Oberson are more than just designers, it seems. They’re maestros of the visual and the mystical. A good fashion designer can certainly make their swimwear as impactful as any other type of art. And Gideon Oberson is so much more than just “good”. It is one of the finest names in fashion swimwear. And it is stunning and arrestingly beautiful.

2012 will be the year of the kaftan for us in the swimwear world. Snd the year of the kaftan is the year of Rosch kaftans most specifically. Kaftans have become uncommonly popular of the Christmas period. And we are delighted to say that so many people are taking an interest in a whole variety of them. The great thing about kaftans, and all clothing like it, is that it’s technically an accessory. More of an accompaniment, really. An add on to the main outfit that can compliment or drastically change the tone of your look. We all love subtle swimwear and understated fashion, but the kaftan is where the rules don’t apply quite so rigidly. Because it’s there to accent and alter the look somewhat, it needs to be sharper and more obvious. Well, one new item that is really quite ideal for accenting your swimwear this coming Spring is Rosch swimwear’s new range “Passion“. Rosch is obsessed with sophistication. Their work is fantastic, both in the quality of the item and the way they show it. Their photography is fantastic, isn’t it? Passion is an interesting and intriguing piece. On the body, you have what is probably a passion flower, in bright orange and pink. We think that kind of colour scheme is possibly better for Winter, as the weather in the tropics becomes milder and this kaftan is ideal for sunsets near the beach. We like the zebra stripes Rosch chose for one side of the kaftan, and the stripes and exotic flowers makes us think of a gorgeous tiger lily. Rosch kaftans and other items from this designer are wonderful. They have created a beautiful, versatile and effective kaftan. This is hard to do with bright colours, but Passion is full of milder shades that suit tropical Winters and gentle Springs. This is a stunning kaftan for exotic locations and equally exotic tastes.

We love a good cover up! There’s nothing like wearing your favourite designer swimsuit or your itsy-bitsy bikini with matching silk beach cover-ups. So, when we go away on holidays ourselves, we make sure we pack with us a lovely kaftan, a pareo (the larger, the better), a chic sun hat and, of course, we don’t skip the beach bags. Where would you carry your sun cream, your book and your mobile phone, otherwise? Why we love beach cover-ups so much? On the one hand, beach cover-ups are great to protect your skin from the sun rays, especially after the noon, when being exposed to the sun rays is most dangerous. At the same time, too, wearing beach dresses and cover-ups make more evident that you’re on holiday and you’re up for having fun, forgetting about everyday issues and enjoy yourself. What a better way of doing so than wearing the most insanely beautiful cover-ups? We always say that the right beachwear can help improve your holiday mood. Let’s let this picture below prove it! The Boho-Chic beach dresses and cover-ups If you want to get a Boho-chic beach look, these two brands have everything you may need:  Watercult beachwear: Amazing bikinis, swimsuits and, of course, cute little beach dresses and cover-ups to recreate an Ibiza-inspired look. Our favourite style, the Hippie Heaven cover-up, in the picture above. Pia Rossini beachwear: Do you need a sun hat? A pareo? A kaftan? A kimono? A sun dress maybe? Pia Rossini has it all covered. Even your jewellery for the beach! One of our favourite styles for the season, though, is these beautiful floral-printed beach trousers, featured in the picture below. The perks of wearing beach trousers: Many of us love wearing pareos when going away. As we said earlier, the longer, the better. We love the look of a see-through maxi pareo side-tied over your swimsuit. There’s another beach cover-up we also love: the beach trousers. We don’t mean these beach lace shorts (although, hey, these are cute, too!), but the long-length beach trousers you can wear from the beach to the bar looking like a celebrity in Saint Tropez. It’s always difficult trying the choose the right swimwear. It’s never easy when there is so much choice out there. Do I go for an expensive swimsuit and hope it lasts longer? Or do I buy a cheaper one, and, then throw it away after one holiday? These are the questions that everyone woman has asked herself from time to time. If you are thinking of investing in a good-quality swimsuit, maybe it’s worth checking out what are the favourite swimsuits of the season, according to the experts. We have asked the swimwear expert, our founder and Managing Director Dawn Barber, to write a bit about her thoughts and feelings on this matter. She’d like to show you her five favourite swimsuits and why she’s lost it for each of these beauties. A little gem: the Gottex Couture Rania Swimsuit Gottex has to be my favourite brand, so it’s easy for me to find five great pieces in their range, but that wouldn’t help you at all if you’re not as much of a Gottex fan as I am. If I must choose one Gottex swimsuit, it has to be the Gottex Couture Rania Swimsuit. Now I know you’re going to say, ‘gosh that’s expensive’ and you’re right. It is. But just take a look at it. It’s nothing short of stunning and you’ll look stunning in it. The detail on the front of the swimsuit is spectacular and the placement of the design has been done in such a way that it flatters every inch of your body. The clever use of dark fabric at the bottom of the suit makes you appear slimmer across the tummy and hips and then the flourish of embroidery and fabric at the top leaves you breathless. A truly fine piece from this season’s Gottex. The Roidal Coral range is to-die-for! My second piece would be Roidal Coral Anna Swimsuit. This family-run company is based in Spain. We’ve visited their factory and we were very pleased to meet in person a great family firm with wonderful work ethics. Roidal’s designer is the daughter of the owner, Mr Roig, and she takes great pride in her work. The print on this beautiful swimsuit is to die for. It’s fresh and cool and you simply can’t help but think of a sun-kissed beach and turquoise water.  The fit of this one-piece swimsuit is superb and one of the most flattering swimsuits you’ll ever buy. There is great coverage across the bust. The wider straps also give much better support to that heavy bosom, so you’ve not got straps digging in and twisting all the time. Then, there is the shearing across the torso. This hides a multitude of sins and is slightly adjustable so the perfect suit for a woman like me, who has lumps and bumps that I’d rather keep under control. Great swimsuit at a great price too, considering that all Roidal swimwear and beachwear is hand-finished. Dawn’s favourite Miraclesuit: Monochrome-beauty Castaway Escape The third of my top swimsuits of the season has to be Miraclesuit Castaway Escape Swimsuit. This is a spectacular swimsuit and ticks all the boxes. Wide straps to give great support, a cut out scalloped neckline to give a plunged look and the most flattering tummy control. Let’s be honest, who cannot benefit from a tummy-control swimsuit? Underwired cups and a scoop back are the perfect addition to this swimsuit. It has a really eye-catching design on the fabric and is monochrome in colour so will not date. I personally love this swimsuit and I feel it’s a great price for a quality swimsuit. Seaspray has some amazing swimsuits as well! My fourth piece has to be the Seaspray Sophia Sweetheart Bandeau Swimsuit. I truly don’t know how they make such amazing swimwear at such a competitive price point. This swimsuit is beautiful. It has removable straps, so you won’t have any strap marks across your shoulders when sunbathing. It’s got tummy control. It’s very supportive and, yet, has soft cups. If you love bandeau swimsuits as I do, then this is the right swimsuit for you choose. It’s also got a longer-length torso style, so, if you’re tall, it will fit you beautifully. The Aztec-inspired design of the fabric makes you feel like you belong on a beach in the Mexican Caribean coast, where it’s hot and sunny. A totally irresistible swimsuit at an amazing price. If you want a minimal timeless style, it has to be an Amoressa swimsuit My fifth and final choice had to be a timeless style, like the Amoressa The Ramones Stevie Swimsuit. Strange name, I know, but a phenomenal swimsuit, nonetheless. It’s simple, to say the least, as it’s a plain black swimsuit, but the cut is stunning and the top is beautifully laced with a chunky cord across the bust. There is a deep V section at the front and then the tie detail goes over the top. Silver coloured metal eyelets give it a designer look and the tummy control help’s smooth those problem areas. There is a deep scooped back and a tie at the back of the neck. I hasten to add that this swimsuit also comes in white, but I much prefer the black one. I think this is just personal preference, though, as the white swimsuit is equally as gorgeous. These style of minimal-inspired swimsuits could perfectly be in any list of swimsuits of the season 2020, 2021, 2022 and more as well. They are the perfect timeless style!
