Chelsea vs Manchester United preview
Both sets of supporters were made to suffer last weekend when the Blues suffered a rare home defeat to rivals Tottenham while the Red Devils were beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Cole Palmer was sent off for two bookable offences against Spurs but served his one-game suspension in midweek when Xabi Alonso’s side were eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Liverpool on penalties.

More broadly, the West Londoners are the third top scorers in the league at this stage but only Ipswich and Crystal Palace have conceded more goals.
Michael Carrick will be in the visitors’ dugout at Stamford Bridge despite speculation to the contrary in the wake of Sunday’s loss to the Cherries.
The 45-year-old gaffer has held “clear-the-air talks” with captain Bruno Fernandes after the Portuguese playmaker was dropped following criticism of Carrick’s tactics.
Man United should be boosted by the return of their No8, who broke the record for most assists in a Premier League campaign last season, but there are several other problems to solve.
The 13-time Premier League champions have gone eight games without a win in all competitions.
Their last victory came against Sabah in the Champions League on 10th September and their last league win was the 5-2 thrashing of Ipswich on 30th August, when Fernandes scored a hat-trick.
Man United have sunk to 16th in the table and defeat against Chelsea would put them at risk of dropping into the relegation zone come Saturday night.
Surprisingly, Carrick’s side rank second in the league for shots taken (98) but their attacking endeavour has been undermined by inefficient finishing and individual errors at the back.

Chelsea vs Manchester United betting tips
It’s almost a case of deciding which of these giants is least dysfunctional.
Back-to-back disappointments against Spurs and Liverpool will have demoralised Chelsea but they’re still in a better place than their opponents, certainly in terms of the Premier League table with 11 places separating the two teams at present.
Palmer and Rogers came up short last weekend but both have been among the best attacking players in the league this season and the pair will be eager to strut their stuff — the latter bagged a brace at home to Man United in Aston Villa colours last season.
Chelsea average just over two goals scored per league game this season and a fraction under two goals conceded — both teams to score is very much in play.
