Blue Caribbean waters, colorful local dance, ice cold cocktails on a steamy day — this is Riviera Maya, Mexico. I checked into the postcard-perfect Barcelo Maya Grande Resort in Playa del Carmen for a week to document my experience. The resort is one of five on the expansive oceanfront property. I wandered the palm tree-lined paths day and night in awe of the natural beauty of the beach and the manicured pools and landscape of the resorts. As an all-inclusive, I could drink and dine whenever I needed a respite from the party or the sun. It was, in a word: magical.
