Mbappe wins his second title with Real Madrid
Real Madrid crush Pachuca 3-0 in the Intercontinental Cup final at Lusail Iconic Stadium (Qatar).

The match took place at Lusail Stadium in Qatar, where Real Madrid dominated the game. Although Pachuca occasionally launched dangerous counterattacks, Real Madrid maintained complete control and secured a convincing victory.

The attacking trio of Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jr shone brightly, each scoring a goal to deliver the win for Real Madrid. For Mbappe, this marks his second title in just a few months with “Los Blancos.” Earlier in the season, the former PSG star also scored in Real Madrid’s UEFA Super Cup victory over Atalanta.

Real Madrid was simply too strong for Pachuca.
The opening goal came in the 37th minute after a beautiful combination between Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, and Mbappe. Bellingham passed the ball to Vinicius, who bypassed the goalkeeper before setting up Mbappe to tap into an empty net.

In the second half, Rodrygo doubled the lead in the 52nd minute with a stunning solo effort, dribbling past two defenders and striking a powerful shot into the top corner.

Vinicius Jr sealed the 3-0 victory in the 83rd minute with a penalty after Lucas Vazquez was fouled in the box.
This triumph brings Real Madrid’s total number of global titles to nine, including three original Intercontinental Cups, five FIFA Club World Cups, and now the 2024 Intercontinental Cup.
