Hua Don beach death: foreign man found in sea
A foreign man was found dead in the sea near Hua Don beach in Nong Kae on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called at around 4:30pm on 15 April, after Hua Hin Police received a report of a person floating in the water near the ferry pier.
Rescue personnel from the Sawang Hua Hin Thammasathan Rescue Centre, along with Ambulance Unit 02 and a police water search and rescue team, attended the scene. On arrival, they discovered the body of a foreign male.
A local fisherman told authorities he had been sitting near the pier when he saw the man floating face down in the sea. He then alerted police.
Officers coordinated with a Hua Hin jet ski team, who retrieved the body and brought it back to shore.
Rescue workers confirmed the man had died at the scene. Police contacted an investigating officer and an on-duty doctor to conduct a post-mortem examination at the location.
The body was later transported to Hua Hin Hospital by rescue personnel.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
