Thap Tai Fitness Park to open in Hua Hin in June

A new fitness facility is set to open in Thap Tai, Hua Hin, in June, offering a free, public space designed for both residents and visitors.

The “Thap Tai Fitness Park” was formally announced during an event held on Thursday morning (23 April), with local officials outlining plans to develop the site into a new destination focused on health and adventure-based activities.

Mr Arranat Saravat, Mayor of Thap Tai, said the project would serve as a new landmark for the area, with a strong emphasis on improving community wellbeing. The park will be located at the Commemorative Public Park and is being designed as a professional-level fitness space accessible to a wide range of users.

Once completed, the facility will be open free of charge to both residents and tourists.

Mr Arranat said the organisation has consistently prioritised the health and wellbeing of people in the community, adding that both physical and mental strength are essential for a good quality of life.

The project is being organised by Dr Henrik Fagersson, Director of Vilhelm International Academy and owner of The Hub Hua Hin.

Dr Henrik said: “The course is being designed for everyone.”

“We are creating a world class experience that proves that Thap Thai is the premier destination for sport,” he added.
According to organisers, the park will include a range of professional-standard fitness equipment, including a technical monkey bar course, a ring swing transition section and an incline twister challenge.

The structures will be built using high-grade structural steel, with professional welding and weatherproofing, and will come with a 10-year guarantee.

Local Hua Hin artist Khun Noon Nakawan Towised will also contribute bespoke artwork to the project, aiming to add a creative element to the exercise space and enhance its appeal for users.

An opening event is scheduled for 13 June, which will include an obstacle race titled the “Hua Hin Obstacle Challenge,” orgnaised by Hua Hin based sports event organiser Serge Henkens.

The event will feature additional temporary obstacles set up around the reservoir at the park, with organisers expecting a strong turnout.

Organisers say part of the aim of the project is: ” Establishing Thap Thai as the premier destination for health and resilience in the Hua Hin region.

“Constructing a state-of-the-art multi-obstacle training rig designed for everyone – from serious athletes to families.”
