Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism festival opens with fireworks
The Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism festival opens this Friday (24 April) with a large-scale fireworks display over Prachuap Bay, marking the start of the province’s flagship annual event.
The Prachuap Khiri Khan Tourism Festival: The Wonders of the Three Bays and Red Cross Fair 2026 will run from 24 April to 4 May and is one of the province’s biggest annual events, bringing together culture, food, music and entertainment across 11 days and 11 nights.
Opening night highlights
• Fireworks display with more than 1,700 fireworks
• Music-synchronised show lasting over 4 minutes
• Set against the backdrop of Saranwithi Bridge and Prachuap Bay
• ⏰ Starts at 9:00 PM on 24 April
The opening ceremony will also feature a large light and sound production on the main stage, along with a cultural performance titled The Legend of Ta Mong Lai, reflecting the identity and heritage of the province.
The main festival area will be based at King Rama IX Commemorative Park in front of the provincial hall, with additional activities along the seafront road.
Visitors can expect a full programme throughout the event, including:
• A seafood fair showcasing local dishes
• The Miss Three Bays pageant
• Sam Ao Next Gen Music Award 2026
• Muay Thai contests
• Red Cross charity booths
• OTOP and community product stalls
• Nightly live concerts featuring Thai artists
Organisers say the event is aimed at boosting tourism and supporting the local economy, while also raising funds for community and welfare projects through Red Cross activities.
