Pattaya, Thailand – A commendation letter from Thailand’s top police chief has brought smiles across the faces of officers at Pattaya City Police Station, showing their outstanding professionalism and rapid response in a major case recently involving a teenage Thai girl found killed and stuffed in a suitcase near the railroad tracks in Pattaya.
Police General Torsak Sukvimol, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Police (RTP), personally dispatched an urgent letter praising the Pattaya police for their meticulous, swift, and public-focused work.
The letter specifically commends Pattaya City Police Station and all involved personnel for their exceptional investigative performance. Using advanced forensic science techniques and strong inter-agency teamwork, the officers successfully tracked down and arrested prime suspect Simon Peter Carman from Australia within just a few hours of finding the deceased as he attempted to flee the country, managing to catch him just moments before he was due to board a flight back to Australia.
“Every officer involved – from commanders and investigators to the forensic and support teams – carried out their duties with full dedication, genuine care for the public, and 100% commitment,” the letter noted.
The recognition has lifted spirits throughout the station, serving as powerful encouragement for the hardworking officers who often operate under pressure to keep the community safe.
