Carson Daly shuts down The Voice exit rumors with …

Carson Daly has officially put an end to speculation about his future on The Voice, assuring fans that he is not leaving the long-running singing competition after 15 years.

Rumors about Daly’s departure began circulating after NBC announced a new version of the hit series, The Voice: Celebrity. The upcoming spin-off will feature actress and television personality Keke Palmer as host, leading many viewers to believe Daly was stepping away from the franchise. However, the veteran TV host quickly addressed the reports through a message shared on Instagram. 

“Many today have asked if I am leaving The Voice. Nope,” Daly wrote, making it clear that he has no plans to exit the original show.

The 53-year-old television personality explained that NBC is simply experimenting with two different formats. The traditional version of The Voice will continue to air during the fall, while the celebrity edition is scheduled for the spring.

“We are gonna try out these two formats this fall/spring and see how it goes. Hopefully, this clears up any confusion,” Daly added in his post. 

Daly also praised Keke Palmer, saying she is the perfect choice to host the celebrity spin-off. While Palmer will front the new series, Daly will continue hosting the original The Voice, a role he has held since the show’s debut in 2011. In addition, he will remain involved behind the scenes as a producer for the celebrity version. 

The announcement comes as NBC looks to refresh the franchise with a new concept featuring celebrity contestants instead of aspiring singers. The celebrity edition will include actors, musicians, athletes, comedians, influencers, and other well-known personalities competing for the title, while the classic version will continue showcasing undiscovered vocal talent. 

Fans were relieved after Daly’s clarification, with many taking to social media to celebrate the news. Having hosted the show for more than 30 seasons, Daly has become one of its most recognizable faces, known for guiding contestants through emotional moments and keeping the competition running smoothly.

His reassurance also ends days of online speculation that suggested he was stepping away because of scheduling demands. Instead, Daly confirmed that he remains committed to the original series and is excited to see how the two-format approach performs with audiences. 

For now, viewers can expect to see Carson Daly exactly where they have for the past 15 years—hosting The Voice while helping the franchise enter an exciting new chapter with its upcoming celebrity spin-off.

    RIYADH/SANAA: Regional tensions have taken another dangerous turn after Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi group claimed it carried out a drone attack on Saudi Aramco’s Jazan refinery, while a separate barrage of missiles and drones reportedly struck the Yemeni Red Sea port city of Mokha. The developments come as security concerns continue to grow across the Red Sea and Gulf, adding another layer to an already volatile regional situation. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group had targeted the Aramco refinery in Jazan, in southwestern Saudi Arabia, with drones. Saudi authorities confirmed that a fire had broken out at the facility but said it had been brought under control and that no casualties had been reported. Saudi officials did not immediately attribute the fire to the alleged Houthi attack, leaving some details surrounding the incident unclear. The Jazan refinery is a strategically important energy facility on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. The complex has a crude-processing capacity of around 400,000 barrels per day and produces products including gasoline and ultra-low-sulfur diesel. The latest incident is not the first time Houthi attacks have been reported against Saudi energy infrastructure. The Jazan facility was also reportedly affected by an attack in late July, with parts of its gasification complex and tank farm suffering damage, according to reports. Mokha Port Also Hit The situation became even more serious when Houthi forces reportedly launched missiles and drones toward Mokha, a strategically located port city on Yemen’s western coast. Yemeni government forces and medical sources initially reported at least seven deaths, including civilians and military personnel. Later reports put the death toll at 11, with eight military personnel and three civilians among those killed. Around 32 people were reportedly wounded, although casualty figures varied between sources. Yemeni military officials said air-defence systems intercepted 11 Houthi drones during the attacks. Damage was also reported to civilian and commercial infrastructure around the port. The attacks come against the backdrop of heightened regional tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States. The Houthis have also previously threatened measures affecting shipping in the Red Sea, framing their actions as retaliation for Saudi policies toward Yemen. The latest escalation is particularly notable because Saudi Arabia has recently deepened its defence cooperation with Pakistan and Türkiye. The new security arrangement has been presented as a collective defence framework in which an armed attack against one member is treated as an attack against all. With attacks now reported near both Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure and Yemen’s Red Sea coastline, fears are growing that the conflict could further disrupt an already sensitive regional security and trade environment.

Several Republican lawmakers had questioned Blanche’s record and raised concerns about his involvement in a number of controversial matters. Among them was his handling of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his role in developing Trump’s proposed $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund. The proposed fund was intended to compensate people who claimed they had been politically targeted or persecuted by the government. However, critics, including Murkowski, warned that the scheme could potentially benefit people prosecuted for their involvement in the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol. During his confirmation process, Blanche promised to abandon the proposed fund following opposition from Republican senators. Questions remain over whether that commitment would prevent the administration from introducing a similar programme under a different structure in the future. Murkowski said she opposed Blanche because she lacked confidence that he would be willing to challenge what she described as the administration’s worst impulses. She also expressed concern about the increasing politicisation of the Justice Department. Collins raised separate concerns over Blanche’s involvement in Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service. Despite those reservations, she ultimately did not support his confirmation. Cassidy, meanwhile, said he trusted Blanche to provide Trump with independent and candid legal advice. He acknowledged that the president ultimately determines the direction of the Justice Department but argued that Senate confirmation would give Blanche greater authority to advise the administration and push back when necessary. Cassidy also said he did not want political disagreements to prevent the Justice Department from carrying out its responsibilities, particularly in combating violent crime. Blanche’s confirmation marks a significant development for the Trump administration, given his previous role as Trump’s personal lawyer. He was serving as deputy attorney general when he assumed the department’s temporary leadership in April.
