Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon set for May: Here’s how to register
The Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon 2026 has been officially launched, with organisers aiming to strengthen the town’s reputation as a sports tourism destination while inviting runners to sign up for the endurance event.
Scheduled to take place on 23 May at Rajabhakti Park, the Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon will feature four race distances of 10, 25, 50 and 100 kilometres. Officials say the event is expected to attract Thai and international participants, along with supporters travelling to the area, helping to stimulate activity in Hua Hin and Cha-am’s tourism and service sectors.
The launch was announced during a press conference held on 14 March at the Sea Pine Hotel in Suan Son Pradipat. Among those attending were Colonel Winai Pimai, Deputy Commander of the Army Non-Commissioned Officer School at Yothin Sueksa Mahamongkut Camp; Montri Manichphong, Senior District Officer of Hua Hin; Siraphan Kamonpramot, adviser to the Mayor of Hua Hin City Municipality; and Kitipong Siriphetkasem, President of the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association.
Also present were Bussaba Choksuchat, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin City Municipality; Anut Sarawat, Chief Executive of Thap Tai Subdistrict Administrative Organisation; Tawee Khumthong, team manager and runner from the Ultra On Way team; members of the Tao Long RUN team; and representatives from local media.
Registration open as routes highlight local landmarks
Organisers confirmed that registration for the Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon is now open, with runners able to sign up online via the official event registration platform. Updates and additional information are also being shared through the race’s dedicated Facebook page.
The race is scheduled to run from 3:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with routes designed to take participants along sections of the coastline, through the town centre and past several well-known landmarks. By showcasing these locations, organisers hope the event will further position Hua Hin as a destination capable of hosting large-scale sporting competitions.
Officials say the marathon forms part of wider plans to promote sports tourism in the area, encouraging visitors to combine participation in endurance events with longer stays and local travel experiences.
