Hua Hin low water pressure issue targeted with pipe link plan
Hua Hin City Municipality is moving to address recent low water pressure problems in part of the town after residents in the Hua Hin 55 area complained about weak water flow.
On Wednesday 8 April, Mayor Nopporn Wuttikul led an inspection along Chomsin Road, Soi Hua Hin 55, covering the stretch from the Juea An Tueng traffic light intersection to the Fisheries intersection. He was joined by Deputy Mayor Sanphop Ungrassamee, the president and vice president of the municipal council, council members, the head of the service and maintenance division, a senior civil engineer from the Waterworks Division and other officials.
According to the municipality, residents on the southern side of the road had reported low water pressure, prompting an order for urgent remedial work.
Planned works to boost water pressure

The proposed solution is to connect a 315mm HDPE pipe on the northern side with a 250mm PVC pipe on the southern side. Officials said the link is intended to increase water pressure and ease the difficulties faced by households and other users in the affected area.
The inspection formed part of the municipality’s response to complaints from residents, with officials reviewing conditions on site before moving ahead with the planned works.
Separately, Mr Nopporn also inspected construction works at Hua Hin Soi 36/1 on 8 April. He was accompanied by Natthawan Mitdee, secretary to the mayor, the vice president of the municipal council, council members, the director of the Engineering Department, the project supervisor and the contractor.
The project includes the construction of a reinforced concrete road and drainage system. According to the municipality, the road surface measures about 5.2 metres wide, 195 metres long and 0.05 metres thick.
Officials said the concrete surface was tested for density and was found to meet construction standards. The work is intended to reduce inconvenience for road users and improve traffic safety in the area.
