Prachuap tourism video filmed at Wat Ao Noi

British songwriter and producer Will Robinson visited Wat Ao Noi on 23 May to film a Prachuap tourism video promoting the province’s culture, religious sites and visitor attractions.

Mr Robinson was welcomed at the temple in Mueang district by Mr Preeda Sukjai, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan.

The video is intended to help promote the province to Thai and international visitors by highlighting local culture, traditions and places of interest.

Traditional performance highlights local identity

The filming was supported by the Palang Ying Hua Jai Phet Club of Prachuap Khiri Khan, which staged a performance of “Ram Ron Thong Attalak”.

The traditional dance reflects local ways of life and community knowledge through performance. Organisers said the presentation helped show the cultural identity of Prachuap Khiri Khan and added a local element to the promotional video.

Wat Ao Noi, known for its coastal setting and religious significance, was used as one of the locations for the shoot.

British producer promotes Thai tourism

Mr Robinson is a British songwriter, producer and music promoter who has lived permanently in Thailand for several years.

He is known for music linked to Thai tourism promotion, including “This is the Moment” and “Amazing Thailand Dance With Me”.

During more than six years in Thailand, he has studied and recorded Thai folk music and travelled with his team to produce music videos and promotional clips at tourism locations across the country.

His work has focused on presenting Thailand’s culture and tourist destinations to wider audiences. He has also previously worked with Robin Gibb, a member of the Bee Gees.

Provincial officials said the filming offered another opportunity to present Prachuap Khiri Khan’s religious, cultural and local identity through the work of an international artist with a strong interest in Thailand.
