TAT hosts “Run with the Rhythm” event in Hua Hin

A new running and wellness experience to help restore balance through a mini wellness festival by the sea in Hua Hin

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has introduced a wellness-focused travel experience tailored to modern lifestyles through the “Run with the Rhythm” event. The event forms part of the “Central Rhythm – Fit Body, Relax Mind, Find Your New Life Rhythm in the Central Region” campaign and is presented as a mini wellness festival.

The event took place at the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

“Run with the Rhythm” was organised to inspire people to take better care of their health and to encourage participants to rediscover balance in life. The initiative also highlights the Central region of Thailand as a potential luxury wellness destination. More than 200 people registered to take part, reflecting the continued growth of the wellness lifestyle trend.

The event was supported by several partners, including KTC credit cards, Traveloka, S-Tech Pharma Co., Ltd., iwelty, InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, Viry tissue paper, Sponsor electrolyte drink, TOFUSAN soy milk, ALLIE sunscreen, Plantogenic, Bluport Hua Hin, and ThaiNamthip Corporation Public Company Limited.

Ms Wannapa Kiatpongsa, Director of the Central Region at TAT, said the event offered a full-day experience combining exercise, relaxation and health recovery. She noted that modern lifestyles increasingly view health as a new form of wealth. She added that Thailand’s Central region has strong potential, with natural resources such as forests and waterways, as well as traditional healing knowledge that can be developed into premium wellness experiences. The event was designed as a starting point for people to rebalance their lives and rediscover their own rhythm in the Central region.

Activities at “Run with the Rhythm” began with a highlight beach run, inviting participants to run along the shoreline at sunrise, helping them start the day feeling energised and refreshed. This was followed by morning wellness activities such as ice baths, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and Muay Thai.

The day concluded with sound healing and sunset yoga sessions, allowing participants to unwind as the sun set. Attendees experienced a holistic approach to wellness, combining movement, recovery and relaxation in a natural setting. The programme not only provided short-term energy and relaxation but also encouraged long-term lifestyle changes focused on health and balance.

The “Run with the Rhythm” event, organised by TAT and its partners, is seen as a model for wellness tourism in Thailand. It reflects a shift towards creating value-driven travel experiences rather than focusing on volume, while aligning with the preferences of modern travellers. The initiative also reinforces the Central region’s position as a sustainable wellness tourism destination.

Special deals and promotions are available, including accommodation discounts with KTC credit cards (up to 50% off, plus 1,000 KTC FOREVER points for spending 3,000 baht), and a Traveloka promotion offering a 100 baht discount on bookings of 2,000 baht or more using the code CTRHYTHM.
