Prachuap launches Khirikhan Guarantee for wellness tourism
Prachuap Khiri Khan has introduced the “Khirikhan Guarantee” as part of efforts to strengthen its position in wellness tourism, with officials aiming to raise standards and build confidence among visitors.
The initiative was discussed during the third meeting of 2026 of the Provincial Wellness Tourism Route Development Committee, held on 8 April at the Provincial Public Health Office. The meeting was chaired by Governor Sitthichai Sawatssen and attended by senior officials, including Deputy Governor Prateep Boriboonrat and representatives from public health and government agencies across all eight districts.
Officials said the Khirikhan Guarantee certification mark will play a central role in developing the province into an internationally recognised wellness tourism destination. The scheme is designed to certify both businesses and local products that meet defined standards, helping to establish a clear and consistent identity for wellness services in the province.
Khirikhan Guarantee to support wellness tourism standards

Under the Khirikhan Guarantee scheme, certified businesses and services will be listed through an e-book and the PKN Wellness application, allowing visitors to verify approved providers. Authorities said the system is intended to improve transparency and make it easier for tourists to identify trusted services.
The programme forms part of a wider Wellness Economy strategy, which focuses on attracting health-conscious travellers while supporting local businesses and communities.
As part of this approach, Prachuap Khiri Khan is promoting a range of wellness-focused activities and products. These include beach massage services operating under clearly defined standards, as well as the development of “sand bathing” experiences in pilot areas such as Waghor, Khao Tao and Ban Thang Sai.
Local ingredients are also being incorporated into the wellness offering, with products such as coconut and pineapple body scrubs highlighted as part of the province’s identity.
Officials said the Khirikhan Guarantee is expected to help stimulate the local economy by increasing visitor confidence and encouraging higher-quality services, while also supporting sustainable income for communities across the province.
