Omega’s new Seamaster watches celebrate James Bond Day, but are you a goodie or a baddie?
After a very fun teaser campaign, Omega has launched a new six-piece Seamaster Diver 300M collection for James Bond Day, featuring three watches bearing the Bond Coat of Arms, and three bearing the Spectre Octopus.
All six share the same 42mm case, and they also share the same movement, the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806. It’s the aesthetic details that set these watches apart.
Bond stands for duty, discipline and loyalty, while Spectre stands for independence and self-interest, and Omega’s question is which side will you choose?
I love this. Everyone has a favourite Bond watch (mine is the the NTTD), but releasing some Spectre models is a cheeky twist. It’s a bit of villain fun on the wrist.
The core of the range is two stainless-steel editions. The James Bond model has a grade 5 titanium bezel ring and a blue aluminium dial. The dial is laser-engraved with a wave pattern. You’ve got a Bond Coat of Arms as the 12 o’clock marker.
The Spectre version is, of course, darker. It has a black ceramic bezel ring and a blackened, grained dial.
Both models come on a brushed mesh bracelet.

Finally, on the Bond watch, you get a cool gun-barrel pattern on the rotor, while on the Spectre model, it’s a black octopus.
These two models available today from Omega boutiques and Omega’s website, priced at US$8600 / £7200.
Next, things get really exotic. Two limited edition sets sit within the collection, one for James Bond and one for Spectre, each issued in 77 numbered sets
Every set pairs a steel watch with a platinum-gold model on a leather strap (you can’t buy either watch separately).
The stainless-steel model carries its individual limited-edition number on a plate at 9 o’clock, and on all four watches the caseback is polished-brushed, follows Omega’s wave-edged design and is secured by the Naiad Lock.
On the platinum-gold models the bezel ring is polished ceramic while the diving scale is executed in platinum and the dial is 18k white gold with a PVD gradient, blue with a gun-barrel pattern for James Bond and dark grey with an octopus for Spectre (ref. 210.83.42.20.01.001).
Flip them over and the rotor emblem is 18K Moonshine Gold on both platinum-gold models.
The boxes are a treat too. Each set comes with an extra NATO strap, a strap-changing tool, cufflinks, a cord bracelet and a loupe.
There’s also a leather travel pouch and card holder, plus a certificate of authenticity.
The Bond set has 007-engraved strap keepers and a blue pouch. The Spectre set has Spectre emblems on the keepers and a black pouch.
Basically, it’s everything you need to feel like an international secret agent (minus the Walther PPK) or super villain (minus the white cat).
The collection is available today from Omega boutiques and Omega’s website.
