TCL P80 Ultra is already a great smartphone – the finishing touch is the NXTPAPER display

Smartphones are all the same these days, right? Wrong. There are the essentials, like that big display, the long battery life, and a comprehensive camera that you’ll use daily, but then there are the things that make a smartphone stand out.

Take the TCL P80 Ultra for example. The 6.83-inch AMOLED display means there’s plenty of space to browse and play, the 3x telephoto lens means it’s easy to get those close-up photos and the 5800mAh battery means it will do that all day long.

It’s all rolled into a phone that’s 8.3mm slim, weighs less than 200g and offers IP68 protection. The TCL P80 Ultra comes in three striking colours – Sunlit Gold, Burgandy or Midnight Blue – to match your style.

The TCL P80 Ultra is a smartphone with a difference

But what makes the TCL P80 Ultra different is NXTPAPER. This unique feature means there’s a matte finish to the screen, banishing reflections for better outdoor visibility, while reducing eye strain too.

The P80 Ultra features TCL’s Smart Eye-care Assistant which will alert you when you’re holding the phone too close, if it’s too dark or too bright, and to remind you to take a break to encourage healthier viewing habits and preserve eye health. This advanced display is presented, while retaining a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution.

While reflections are banished, the screen still offers a high 3200 nits brightness, so colours are vibrant and details are sharp. With a flick of the NXTPAPER Key, the TCL P80 Ultra screen can switch to Paper Mode, to reduce distractions and offer a better experience for reading while ensuring long battery life.

With a choice of Standard, Paper Mode or Max Ink Mode for the screen, you can choose how you want your display to appear, to get the visual performance that you want. In Max Paper Mode it switches to black and white for the best endurance and to help you focus on your reading.

Whether you’re relaxing with a novel on the beach or just want a calmer smartphone experience, the TCL P80 Ultra has a more versatile display than other smartphones, great for your e-books so you don’t need two devices, without sacrificing those core smartphone skills.

It’s more than just an advanced display

The TCL P80 Ultra has a triple camera to help you capture the perfect shot. From bright daytime photos to those 50-megapixel telephoto snaps, there’s stabilisation to make sure everything stays sharp, with those memories accurately preserved. There’s an ultrawide camera to complete the set, with a high-resolution front-facing 32-megapixel camera too.

A powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite octo-core processor means there’s plenty of power, with up to 512GB of storage for your music, movies and games. To give you more power, the RAM can be expanded from 8GB up to an additional 16GB to make sure all your apps run smoothly. Whatever the task, the TCL P80 Ultra will handle it with ease.

The result is that the TCL P80 Ultra has skills that other phones lack. There’s the power and performance for everyday use, with long battery life and 45W charging. There’s the brightness and detail in the AMOLED display to make all your apps and games look great. But then there’s NXTPAPER that offers something unique, for a better, glare-free, viewing experience.

That’s the difference that the TCL P80 Ultra offers: it does everything that your smartphone can and then a little bit more. The TCL P80 Ultra starts at £479.99 (256GB) with that unique display experience you won’t find anywhere else.
