What to Know About oppo’s Find X10 could be your OnePlus 16 replacement
Just as some in the tech world are lamenting the region-limited status of the OnePlus 16, the Oppo Find X10 series has been announced as a direct replacement for most of the world.
We’ve all had our say about the demise (or at least, severe decline) of OnePlus over the years. Ultimately, the just-revealed OnePlus 16 won’t be coming West, which is indeed a crying shame.
But as predicted, parent company Oppo is willing and able to pick up the slack.
Following last year’s quietly excellent Oppo Find X9 Pro – which was essentially a more premium OnePlus 15 – the company has just announced the Oppo Find X10 and Oppo Find X10 Pro Max (plus the Oppo Find X10E, which probably won’t be coming West) in its native China.
Let’s start with the phone that’s most likely to scratch that OnePlus 16 itch, before moving on to the luxury upgrade.
Oppo Find X10
The Oppo Find X10 looks an awful lot like the OnePlus 16. Or rather, given who’s the boss here, the OnePlus 16 looks an awful lot like the Oppo Find X10.
Sure, the Find X10 doesn’t have the OnePlus 16’s flashy “Interstellar Lighting Effect”. But it’s not looking set to be any more useful than the HiLight system on the Google Pixel 11 Pro.
The colour options appear to be all but identical to those of the OnePlus 16 (light blue, a titanium-like colour, and a light pink), but the Oppo Find X10 subtly moves the whole design on a step. It introduces a camera island that rather calls to mind the iPhone 17 Pro, without being quite as on the nose as some manufacturers.

Oppo
It’s fronted by a 6.59-inch, 2768 x 1272 OLED display with a smooth 144Hz maximum refresh rate – a little smaller and less rapid than the rumoured OnePlus 16 spec, sure, but not to a significant degree.
This is driven along by a flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chip. How that’ll fare against the OnePlus 16’s rumoured Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro remains to be seen, but MediaTek’s top chips tend to be rapid.
This will be paired with either 12 or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, depending on the storage model you opt for. Speaking of which: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage are your options.

Oppo
Where the Oppo Find X10 is really going to set itself apart from the OnePlus 16, you feel, is on the camera front. That ‘H’ logo on the back reflects Oppo’s exclusive Hasselblad partnership, which provides major photographic credentials.
The specs look impressive too, with a 200Mp main camera, a 200Mp 2.8x telephoto, and a 50Mp ultra-wide. There’s a 50Mp front camera too.
Battery capacity is set at 8000mAh, which is huge. Not as huge as the OnePlus 16’s rumoured 9000mAh cell, sure, but again – we’re talking fairly minor differences. Remember that more efficient display, too.
80W wired and 67W wireless charging round out an impressive spec list. Now all we need to know is how much it’s going to cost here in the West.
Oppo Find X10 Pro Max
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is a clear upgrade. It runs on the same MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chip as its little brother, and has the same memory, battery and charging provisions. Plus, it adds a little something extra.
It’s a bigger device, with a 6.78-inch 2772 x 1272 OLED that should bring it up to OnePlus size, albeit with a 144Hz refresh rate.
The design is more purposeful and ‘Pro’ than the regular model, thanks to a more prominent camera module. Oppo is fitting this thing with three 200Mp cameras, which is the first time we’ve seen such an engineering feat in a phone.

Oppo
The telephoto gets a slightly longer 3x zoom than the normal model, too, and you can shoot in 8K across all three rear cameras. The 50Mp front camera looks to be the same as on the Oppo Find X10.
Both phones will run on ColorOS 17 (on top of Android 17) out of the box, of course, as will the OnePlus 16.
Western pricing remains to be seen, but it has announced that the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max will cost ¥7999 in China. That’s about £900, but expect the global model to cost well north of £1,000.

Oppo
The OnePlus 15, by comparison, cost ¥3,999 at launch, though it remains to be seen whether the OnePlus 16 can hold that price across generations. Most phones haven’t been able to do so over the past 12 months.
We do know that the Oppo Find X10 and the Pro Max are going global, with Oppo recently announcing an early bird deal for the UK and Europe. Pay a €49/£49 deposit today at the Oppo website, and you can claim a ‘free’ gift of a Find X10 Series Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit, an Oppo Watch X3, or an Oppo Pad 5.
You’ll also get €150/£150 off the price of the Oppo Find X10 or €200/£200 off the price of the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max. Oppo will also refund the difference if the price of the phones drop at any point in 2026 – during Black Friday, for example.
