The Magical Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona

I believe in the power of nature to heal and to inspire.

This is a huge part of what motivates my travels. In my twenties, I often sought chaotic urban destinations and was dazzled by the movement, the lights, and the crowds. In my thirties, nature does so much more for my soul. Cities are exciting, but only nature gives back. It replenishes rather than draining the spirit.

So while some say the red rocks of Sedona are mystical and healing, I say yes, perhaps, but all of nature in its purest forms can be. No special powers are required, just a tuning in with the senses.

Sedona is just one of many places to go and let your senses, well, sense. Fortunately, there are lots of easily accessible spots to park the car and gaze out on the glowing red rocks. Go at sunrise or at sunset for the most brilliant colors.
