“I’m a Poncho guy and have owned many over the past decade. I presently have three, in my collection. 1960 was an oddity for the Pontiac division, it was in between the split grill of 59 and 61. It was also the first year of the eight lug wheels. That said, I remember my Dad and his buddies coming home from a fishing trip in a 1960 Bonneville coupe. The trunk was full of fish and ice. “I own a 1938 Flying Squirrel. The engine number is one digit away from this bike and the frame number is two digits away. When I contacted the Scott Club Registry to authenticate my bike I was advised that 220 Flying Squirrels were produced (500cc and 600cc versions combined) in 1938. The whereabouts of 101 were known. Of those, twenty had the redesigned detachable head as does this bike. GLWTS”

“This 599 is an earlier production as in the later production for 2007 the ceramic brakes became standard. Also, Ferrari jacked up the base price from $258k to $321k base price. Significantly increased the cost. These cars are appreciating fast. F-1 transmission is a very nice transmission in my opinion even though general public prefers the clutch version. Good luck.”
