“I have an old family friend (89 years young) that I showed these pictures to that has been a wood carver all his life and has made some exquisite pieces of animals, custom stair cases, door frames and such using a chain saw and wood chisels and a lot of sanding. He was really impressed and spent a half hour flicking between the photos and commenting on the details presented here with the biggest smile. On our second pour of Blanton’s I joking asked him if he could do something like this and…”

“Awesome to see another very early production boss! Curious as to when it initially was sold. I own 2013 Boss 302 #0003 in grabber blue. I purchased it in March 2012 from Al Packer Whit Marsh Ford in MD. They had no idea what the production number was and of course I never mentioned it until after I purchased it, then I received a call a few weeks later asking if I’d sell it back or trade it back for another boss plus cash. I declined. I do have more miles on mine, around 9k. Drove it from NJ to…”

    “Brings back wonderful memories !!
One of my best friends ordered a ‘63 Galaxie 500 XL Oxford Blue convertible with the 406/405 Tri-Power engine …By the time it arrived it had the new upgraded 427/425 Dual Quad engine..I can vividly remember the first time opening the hood and seeing those chrome valve covers marked 427-T ….I believe the “T” was for transistor ignition.
The ‘63 Galaxie has always been my favorite Ford, especially the
    “R” code Fastback version.”

“If you’d told the regulars at Grounds for Divorce that Fort Stockton would one day be blessed—in the biblical sense—by something called a Lamborghini LM002 Wagon by Diomante, they would’ve nodded politely and blamed your condition on dehydration, heatstroke, or Rusty Hammer’s expired beef jerky.
But at 9:42 on a limp Wednesday morning, the impossible happened.
The thing arrived like a rolling oil embargo—silver paint glistening, roofline squared off like a shipping container…”

“A piece of trivia as we enter the final hour:
Next year marks 60 years since the Maserati Ghibli was first unveiled at the 1966 Turin Motor Show.
At just 27 years old, Giorgetto Giugiaro at Ghia created a shape that was lower, wider, and more dramatic than anything else on the road, with its endless bonnet, razor-sharp nose, and clean, unbroken flanks. For Maserati, it marked a commercial turning point: with the rise of the Autostrada era, the Orsi family and engineer Giulio Alfieri set out…”

“I was a salesman at the Dodge dealership one block from Ferris motors 1968-1974. Our dealership was NOT a high-performance dealership like Ferris. In addition to selling the subject car here. Ferris also owned and raced the A990 sister car to Larry Griffith’s car but the Ferris car was an automatic called the torqueflite tornado. Ferris and Griffith often raced togather as a team.Ferris sold a lot of race cars for such a small dealership in the town of 5000 people. Previously he raceda couple…”

I swear he could shift faster than an automatic! ! Car just shuttered when he slammed into gear. As I remember also circa 63 NHRA outlawed aluminum front caps? At the nationals people would tech and then go switch the entire front cap. NHRA got hip and would wait in staging area. With magnet in hand! Truth or consequence time!!”

This is one of the original World’s Fair batch of 60 Mustang GTs Ford built for the 1965 New York World’s Fair, the cars that introduced the GT package to the press and the first ones that rolled off the line. On April 15, 1965, all 60 were lined up together. Henry Ford II, Lee Iacocca, and Don Frey rolled past the row. The cars then went to journalists for a 10-day press evaluation. After that they were returned to Ford and sold as demos. About 20 of the original…”
