A Salute to our Partners at Michelin North America! You Should Know
When we are choosing organizations to partner with, our main criterium is: does the partnership add something of interest or value for the BaT community? In the three years that Michelin North America has been partnered with BaT, they’ve gone above and beyond—awarding dozens of sets of free tires in monthly contests, at BaT events, and through our annual holiday giveaway blitz.
Beyond this, they’ve shown up in person at BaT events, and Kim Barnes from Michelin Classic (herself a collector of some seriously cool and obscure vehicles) has actively assisted users in auction discussions, commenting under the @MichelinClassicTires account, and routinely asks for community input when deciding what new fitments to offer in their product line. They’ve also granted our editorial staff access to their century-deep archive of historical materials.
One thing you might not realize (unless you’ve won an auction here recently) is that they also provide all BaT auction winners with a generous discount on new Michelin, BFGoodrich, and Michelin Classic tires, many of which are warrantied for a ridiculously long time. Your authors can attest to their excellent and personable customer support.
So today, we want to give a special “thank you” to our friends at Michelin and BFGoodrich for all they’ve done for the BaT community. Quality tires are an inextricable part of the collector car hobby, giving us the ability to drive our cars like they were meant to be driven. We’re honored to collaborate with one of the most storied brands in automotive history. Our friends on the global Michelin team are enthusiasts through and through, and continue to produce and refine tire applications for classics, even some that have been out of production for more than 50 years. We appreciate their partnership, and hope that the BaT community continues to benefit from our relationship for years to come.
