What to Know About 2025 BaT Video of the Year—cbjeep’s “Three-Legged” 911S Project!

The votes are in! Each of our three finalists earned plenty of love from the BaT community, but it was the hilarious videos of @cbjeep‘s basketcase Porsche tripod that ran away with the voting and never looked back.

This video clearly showcases one of the many beloved values of the BaT community: humor. Of course, taking the lopsided 911S took some genuine forethought, and the cbjeep crowd loved the creativity and the imagination behind the footage. And the deadpan commentary on the Porsche’s condition was the cherry on top.

1976 Porsche 911S Coupe Project

First up is this “driving” video of this “three-legged” 911S coupe project. With every non-running project, one commenter asks for a driving video or a cold start and @cbjeep decided to humor them. An instant classic.

Enviate Hypercar Evo Hill-Climb Race Car

Next is this crisp footage—included in an auction from @Tinker219 in December 2025—of this Enviate Hypercar Evo, showing us that overlaid music is entirely optional when you’ve got can emulate Zeus’ thunder through the exhaust pipes.

1989 Hägglunds M973A1 SUSV

And last but not least, we have a driving video from @adrenalinsports showing us what this Hägglunds SUSV is capable of. While it only tops out at ~31 mph, it sure looks menacing barreling down the road.

Some of our astute readers may notice that we haven’t included one popular nomination: the 1956 Nash Metropolitan Hardtop charity auction for @Corvilla. We absolutely love what this organization supports, and the videos nominated by you were for the stories of the people helped by Corvilla. While highlighting their stories is incredible important, the BaT award for Best Video needs to focus on the car itself.

Quality videos have become table stakes for BaT auctions, and are an integral part of almost every listing. But some transcend cold starts and interior functions, and wow our audience with impressive production values, and even narrative histories. Every year, the bar gets higher. The Video of the Year award is now six years running, and last year BaT member @shervinator took the win with a 16-minute video of his ex-Bell System Ford Econoline display van that was equal parts history lesson, archeological dig, and comedy sketch.

What was your favorite BaT Video in 2025?

There was no ignoring that Speed Racer’s gadget-packed Mach 5 received a bulk of the nominations, with 18 mentions as of this writing!     sludgo’s Mile Markers: Mile 219 — Explained

    I hate flying. Hate it. Such a hassle. Fighting traffic to the airport and finding parking. Then waiting in line to check in. Then waiting in another line where they make you empty your pockets and take off your jacket and shoes and belt and put everything into a tub for screening before you’re pointed into the Whizbang 9000 Deluxe Hijacker Detector to dutifully assume the position. Then there’s that one last line to wait in along with the rest of the herd when you finally board the plane. Moo. I’d probably enjoy the experience more if I flew first class but the cheapskate in me chokes at the expense, remembering the Oldsmobile Man’s observation that the nose of the plane gets wherever you’re going just as fast as the tail does so the ‘complimentary’ cocktails and snacks and marginally wider and deeper seats really weren’t worth the extra scratch. But exactly two weeks ago, as I inched through the expansive first class section of my plane then wedged my behind into my more-than-snug aisle seat back in coach I began questioning Pop’s sage advice. I shook off the thought, though. Didn’t matter. My ticket was bought and paid for and I already had enough on my mind as I buckled in and switched my phone to Airplane Mode. I was heading to Arizona again. Down to the house in Sunset Acres one more time. But this time would be different than all the rest. Very different.

We here at BaT have been observing the holiday for the past several years, but we got our work done early so as not to deprive you of this Weekly Weird and Wonderful feature. Today we’ve got a few bikes and boats, some rarefied fiberglass bodywork, a couple firsts, and an interesting last, among other things.

    The Gilmore Car Museum Collection, Offered at No Reserve: A Practical Look

    With the occasion of this collection sale, we are excited to announce a new partnership with the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan (on the heel of the Michigan mitten hand near Kalamazoo, for anyone curious). The museum features a collection of over 400 vehicles, and also hosts seven independent marque- and model-specific museums on their 90-acre campus. The Gilmore is focused primarily on American vehicles from the 20th Century, but their selection of vehicles changes over time, which is why they approached Bring a Trailer for this first collection sale. Here we have five American-made vehicles ranging from 1930 to 1973 that will be sold with no reserve, including Indycar team owner Jim Gilmore’s personal Cadillac Eldorado convertible. The Gilmore Car Museum is itself a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and proceeds from the auction, including the BaT buyer’s fee, will go toward the museum’s mission of preserving the history and heritage of the American automobile.

    sludgo’s Mile Markers: Mile 205 — Explained

    It was just after six on a sleepy Saturday morning a couple months ago and I was driving the Beehive’s snow-white Toyota Cross through sludgoville, heading to the foo-foo coffee shop next to the junior college. The flight back to New Sludgoville was scheduled for noon and I still had to pack and was feeling a little rushed but I made sure I drove slowly. Twenty-five miles per hour is the posted maximum all across town and you can count on good ol’ Deputy Randall to be hiding out there somewhere in his black-under-blue Police Interceptor waiting to nail you for even a couple over the limit. Tell it to the judge, sir. But I didn’t mind driving slowly that morning because it had hit me the night before that aside from returning to sludgoville for Big Sis’s or the Beehive’s eventual funeral it was very likely the last time I’d ever visit my beloved NoDak hometown. Thought I’d better take the morning’s opportunity to check out some of the important sights of my life one final time. Shoot some pics to help my increasingly glitchy memory banks link this place to that face. And at the very top of my list was Old Man Granger’s house. Figured it might make a good Mile Marker story too. You never know.
