I met John at Amelia Island when he brought the car to the Concours Show.
He was spending time with my old pal, Jean Jennings (Jean Knows Cars) whom I had met years earlier at the Hilton Head Concours Show when we spent the day together with Jay Ward (Pixar)

“1st real job at the age of 15 in North Hollywood CA was pumping gas at the Texaco station. Sky Chief (the premium blend) was 29.9¢ per gallon, and I’d check your oil and tire pressure and clean your windshield, if you wanted. I still remember the guy in the ‘56 Chevy that let me struggle for a while trying to find the gas cap. He finally laughed and told me to try opening the driver’s side tail light. Good times.”

“As a young couple we had a 1964 122sw from Massachusetts was which perfect given my tip income as a student & bartender. We ran it until the 225,000 mile mark and sold it for more than we paid for it. This restoration corrects for all of my Volvos obsolescence or weaknesses; larger engine; better fuel delivery; rust remediation, nice interior and respectable paint job. This one is a keeper! The sport evolution is the 3rd evolution of the E30 M3 homologated for racing. It was produced for just 3 months in 1990 resulting in 600 models. 500 models were required to evolve a race car at the time. Only 204 Red Sport evos were ever made.
This car is 100% original in terms of parts. The modifications are exactly as it left BMW.
