BaT Local Partner RS Autohaus in Glen Cove, New York, presents this collection of nine speedy road cars unified by their red bodywork. Among the bunch are low-mileage examples of crowd-pleasing Porsches like a sub-1,000-mile 997 Turbo Coupe and a sub-2,000-mile 992 GT3 Touring, as well as two mid-engine V8-powered Ferraris in Rosso Corsa. The wildcard here is a Ford Focus Saleen N2O, the only car model ever equipped with a nitrous oxide kit from the factory. Bringing it back down to Earth is a a nicely-equipped Signal Red R129 500SL from 1993.

Mid-August is just around the corner, and our friends at Mohr Imports are back with the seventh(!) installment of their Monterey Car Week Collection. This year’s is as eclectic as ever, with a heavy focus on German sports cars this time around. There’s also a quartet of Cobras and Ford GTs, a 16M Scud, an Aston dressed in Ferrari colors, and one of the rarer variants of the Lotus Esprit. The collection encompasses 22 cars in all, spanning from 1957–2022. As a Bring a Trailer Local Partner and a mainstay of the Monterey collector car community for over 40 years, Mohr has provided a series of tour videos featuring the cars from the collection, which showcases many highlights that the area has to offer. They’re calling it “The Local Partners Insider’s Guide to Monterey Car Week” and it’s definitely worth a look.

Our very own Howard Swig grew up in a family famous for automotive enthusiasm, and in his 10+ years at BaT he has been instrumental in building this site into what it has become today. His late father Martin was the San Francisco franchise dealer for at least 17 different marques, keeping up a vast inventory of interesting vehicles with a heavy focus on imports like Alfas, Datsuns, Saabs, Toyotas, Mercedes trucks, Sterlings, and more. He later went on to found the California Mille, inspired by his participation in the 1982 Mille Miglia Storica as the sole American entrant. His acquisitions of several interesting racing and sports cars formed the backbone of a collection that continues to be kept and enjoyed by the rest of the Swig family. Today, we’re excited to announce that six cars from the Swig Family Collection will be represented here by @FantasyJunction, out of Emeryville, California, and many will be offered with no reserve.

8/19 Update: nearly all of the cars from the massive DFW Toy and Museum Collection have gone live, many have already sold, and the seller has now added three more! Be on the lookout for a 1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider, 1982 HMV FreeWay project car, and a 1961 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe, which should post soon.
The DFW Car and Toy Museum is the largest of its kind in Texas, and being the largest anything in Texas is really saying something. Indeed, within their 150,000-square-foot facility, they host a collection of more than 200 cars and 3,000 toys. That said, everyone has their limits, and owner Ron Sturgeon has set a 200-car cap—notable because his museum has won 214 BaT auctions to date. To clear up some space in their ever-rotating lineup, the museum is now presenting this massive collection of 38 cars (and counting) on Bring a Trailer, most of which are BaT Alumni and all of which are being offered with no reserve!
