Gujarat CM flags off 30 e-buses under PM-eBus Sewa, rides bus as passenger

Tamil Nadu has stopped issuing new permits for private buses to ease congestion caused by around 1,800 services operating from Koyambedu.

The first batch is part of OHM’s 500-e-bus order under the second phase of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation’s electric bus programme.

The transport department will use bodycam footage to verify complaints of misconduct, particularly those involving women passengers, before initiating action.

Delhi expanded its EV push with 50 new electric buses and a second automated vehicle testing station to improve fitness checks and transparency.

MSRTC has added only 30 e-buses in recent months, taking its fleet to 768, raising concerns over meeting its March target.

APSRTCwill add 350 electric buses by October in the first phase, part of 750 sanctioned under thePM e-Bus Sewa.
