“My 66 Shelby is a 4 speed, my 65 cobra is a manual, but I have owned two 67 500 Automatics and 3 67 350 4 Speeds. I loved my 67 small block cars, but nothing like putting a 500 in drive and just cruise. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I did catch myself driving the auto 500s more than the manuals.”

“What a legacy this car has… Bruce McLaren, who “finished second behind Jack Brabham”… those are names I read about in Car & Driver as a kid… cars were named after these men! And the tracks: Silverstone, Riverside, Laguna Seca… storied venues all.
This is a piece of history, never to be repeated. That it was powered by the little aluminum Buick engine, fed by a quartet of Webers is like icing on the cake. Once again, the offerings on BaT never fail to surprise and amaze.”

“It’s incredible to see the one-year only chromed exhaust extensions! They were unique to 1975 Formulas and 400-powered Trans Ams.
For record, the chromed splitters, which were introduced on the 1974 GTO were included with the Trans Am’s “455 HO” package introduced in midyear 1975 and used throughout the remainder of the 1970s and into the 1980s.”

“When I was 17 my best friend bought almost this same car – his was actually a ‘67 but they look the same to me. At the time it was an 8 year old used car, bought for $800
What a great car that was! Some of my favorite memories are cruising with my best friend in the Cadillac listening to Led Zeppelin. A true Party Barge! He passed away last year, still my best friend. Thanks for the memories”

I am in and out of a ton of aircooled Porsches in a professional capacity, and this may be the nicest 911SC I’ve ever seen. It’s obvious after talking to the seller that they took their time to refurbish the car the correct way – with the love and care this fine example deserves.

“I’ve owned my S1 since 1979, worked as a mechanic at a Lotus dealer 1972 – 1974. When I drive and park my Elan in Elkhart Lake, it draws a crowd. Driving the back roads around Elkhart along with the old race track is such a pleasure, little to no traffic, no semi’s. Life is good with a Lotus Elan.”

“I had a new Pinto and within a year I found a deal on a proto turbocharger set-up from a well-known Detroit area tuner. It was comparatively crude to this one without an intercooler and lots of lag. But once it spooled up, it was pretty impressive. I recall keeping pace with a 340 Duster in 2nd and 3rd gear which had the other driver wondering “WTF?!” But the tubing to the intake was a long way from the relocated carburetor and in cold weather it was really hard to start because that long…”

“When I was about 12 years old, my Mom’s cousin had one of these. He would load me, my brother, and two other younger cousins in the back with the jumper seats in the closed position. As he fishtailed down the road, the four of us would slide around on that metal flooring – back and forth, back and forth smashing into each other and the sides. Laughing all the way!!!!!!!!
