Nio Onvo L60 deliveries reach 110,000 as August sales rebound — Explained

Nio Inc‘s (NYSE: NIO) Onvo brand said on Friday that cumulative deliveries of the L60 mid-size SUV (sport utility vehicle) had reached 110,000 units.

The milestone came about 23 months after deliveries of the L60 began on September 28, 2024.

As of the end of July, cumulative deliveries of the L60 stood at 106,799 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. This implies that the model delivered at least 3,201 units in the first 28 days of August.

The L60 delivered 4,949 units in July and 5,859 units in August 2025.

Deliveries of the L60 totaled 21,615 units in the first seven months of this year, a year-on-year decline of 42.87%. Of that total, July deliveries fell 17.19% year-on-year.

Onvo delivered its 100,000th L60 on June 26, meaning the latest 10,000 deliveries took about 2 months.

The updated L60 was launched on June 11, with nationwide deliveries beginning the following day. Its starting price under the outright purchase option is 192,800 yuan ($28,430), down 6.8% from its predecessor.

The model is available in 3 variants — Pro, Max+ and Ultra+ — with outright purchase prices reaching as high as 222,800 yuan.

Under the BaaS (battery as a service) battery rental plan, the starting price falls to 135,800 yuan.

The Max+ and Ultra+ variants are powered by Nio's in-house-developed Shenji NX9031, a 5-nanometer automotive-grade assisted-driving chip, and use the Nio World Model (NWM) architecture.

The entry-level Pro variant continues to use a vision-only system powered by an Nvidia Orin-X chip with 254 TOPS of computing power.

The updated L60 is built on a 900-volt high-voltage platform and supports battery swaps in 3 minutes. Its 60-kWh and 85-kWh battery packs offer maximum CLTC ranges of 560 kilometers and 740 kilometers, respectively.

The L60 is Onvo's first model, with its main rivals including Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) similarly sized Model Y.

Onvo said the L60 has ranked among the top 3 best-selling all-electric mid-size SUVs in China's 200,000-yuan price segment since its launch.

Onvo's reliance on the L60 has declined as the L80 and L90 have joined its product lineup.

The brand delivered 10,155 vehicles in July, up 69.93% year-on-year, with the L60 accounting for about 19.4% of the total.
