    Egads, there was a lot of interesting stuff on our site this week. The list below is but a fraction, and it was very hard to pass over things like (deep breath) a hot rod pontoon boat, a wacky custom-bodied Bentley, a Lincoln Town Car converted to Chinese spec, a rare factory-turbocharged first-gen 4Runner, a supercharged Al Unser Signature Edition sport truck, a race-winning Penske/Rusty Wallace Winston Cup stock car, and a moving radial engine table you wouldn’t want to get your fingers caught in, to name just a few of the many unique offerings currently on our live auctions page.

    There’s certainly an art to representing a vehicle in a Bring a Trailer auction, and it can be done at serious scale; for the first time, we have a number of sellers who have been at it long enough to tally up around 2,000 auctions apiece. There’s wisdom in their respective approaches that any seller can learn from (after all, approximately two-thirds of the cars on this site are brought by private sellers). We asked 1600veloce, Wob, and 911r, three esteemed BaT Local Partners and power sellers who are each at or near the 2,000-auction mark, to tell us some of the things they’ve discovered in their time selling vehicles on BaT.

    “I have had many 105 series cars: GTV’s, Scalino’s, Giulia’s, a Spider and many Berlina’s. Years ago the Berlina’s, due to low value, served as donors for the 2L engine and limited slip diff. The styling is not a dramatic as the other 105 series cars, however driving them they hold as the best of the range! I love the 2L dash and driving at night…as the lighting in the dash is activated by a separate button…which makes the beautiful white dails light up! It’s a spacious comfortable fast…”

    Happy Monday! We’re back to announce the winner for our Question of the Week, where our victor will accept a $25 credit for a hat or T-shirt from the BaT Gear Store and the acclaim of their peers.

    Our question was: What’s the best car that’s better with an automatic?

    We knew there would be a bit of hesitation off the line for this QotW, but the cars you shared with us had us nodding our heads in agreement. After carefully reviewing the comments, we came away with a favorite of ours—the Chaparral racers, specifically the adjustable wing cars, as nominated first by BaT user @Cat-U-Dog:

    “I would say the Chaparral race cars of the 60s with driver actuated aero, either the adjustable rear deck spoiler versions or the later cars with hub mounted wings.
    These were actually semi-automatic but it eliminated the clutch pedal.”

The event returns for its third installment this Saturday, September 27, and BaT is proudly sponsoring it once again!     What to Know About event Coverage: The Bridge Cars and Coffee with BaT and 1600veloce

    September 14, 2025—The Bridgehampton Museum, Long Island, New York
    A little over a week ago, in the wake of the epic Bridge IX show, we set up shop next to @1600veloce for the Bridge Cars and Coffee and watched with delight as hundreds of incredible vehicles and even more happy spectators filled out the field. The site: the Bridgehampton Museum’s Corwith House, an antebellum farm on the South Fork of Long Island. Our hosts for the morning provided live music, vendors for food and drink, and ample space for a smorgasboard of four-wheeled goodies.
