“A turquoise R2 4-speed is the quentessential Avanti and very few other cars for the same money will draw more attention.
However, been so long since I have seen an Avanti MSRP window sticker, I’d forgotten Studebaker had the unmitigated gall to ding the buyer $20 for TV advertising and $50 for Metro advertising. Go figure!
I bow to no man in my love for the Avanti, but it was always costly and this just seems to be added insult to injury.

“I’ll tell you, when I was a kid in the ‘80s I thought the two coolest cars in existence were the Countach and the 928. I held them in almost equal regard. I’m happy to see a pinnacle 928 getting the love!”

“I love vintage Ferraris. Thought I would get a late 70’s or early 80’s 308GTB but last year became smitten when this came and went:

This will be very well taken care of. Going in the garage the second it arrives and will be driven enough to enjoy and still preserve the integrity of the car.”

“This 599 is an earlier production as in the later production for 2007 the ceramic brakes became standard. Also, Ferrari jacked up the base price from $258k to $321k base price. Significantly increased the cost. These cars are appreciating fast. F-1 transmission is a very nice transmission in my opinion even though general public prefers the clutch version. Good luck.”

    “A layman’s view.
In 1987, at the age of 27, I quit my job and travelled to Europe for my 1st time for a 6-month adventure. After skiing a few areas in the Alps, I made my way north, as far as Bergen, Norway. Summer had arrived, and I wanted to have some beach fun.
The section on France in the Frommer’s Guide had many pages on the Mediterranean Coast, but few on the Atlantic.
I decided on a road less travelled, the Atlantic. To my pleasant surprise, I discovered a magnificent area…”

Very cool car. Unique color, mostly see red, black or blue.
    Would love this.”

“This car always stuck out with ONE simple metric that I read back when it was being tested… 50mph to 75mph, it beat out the Testarossa and Porsche Carrera 4.
I think we know a hybrid RAV4 today could probably do this, but in period it blew my socks off to know this.
May this Swedish Testarossa be enjoyed for many more years. GLWTA”

“Hello! My name is Peter and I love Volvo 240s. I learned to drive in a 240 wagon and the first car I ever owned was another 240 wagon. I have since owned and refurbished dozens of 240s and I regularly help other people with their 240s in Portland, Oregon. My current daily driver is a blue 1987 Volvo 240 Wagon with 444k miles on it. I bought it non-running a few years ago and have since put 27k miles on it, including a many road trips around the west coast.

“I never thought I would say it, but, as this car shows, the cool factor for Cads has surpassed BMW, Audi, and Porsche. They finally got their interiors right too. Apparently the market agrees. The average transaction price for Cadillac is now $90k – more than BMW, Audi, and Mercedes, and behind only Porsche and Range Rover (you can’t really get any Porsche for $90k any more so that isn’t surprising).”

“I daily drove a very similar example for about a year and 13,000 miles – same year, 6 speed, RWD, ZSP, no nav.
I still think about it ALL the time. Out of the 20+ BMWs I’ve owned (including *four other E91s*, that one was one of my favorites and by far my favorite E91.
IMO, the miles aren’t that scary. Do the clutch/flywheel, but you shouldn’t have any other notable issues otherwise. A 3 stage manifold would be a nice add-on as well. This car is also pretty close to a stripper spec…”

“I had a ’68 for almost 20 years. I personally feel that the early SWB is the loveliest iteration of the 911, ever: cleanest lines, sublime, reductive design. 1968 has a bunch of “year-only” features that make it extra cool. Good luck to whoever wins this beauty and whatever you do afterwards, update this car to carrera chain tensioners immediately. It’s an easy upgrade and will save your engine when the original tensioners fail, which they definitely will. Awesome car!”

    “OK let’s get serious here.
What a lot of us often don’t realize when we look at something like this is the enormous amount of time, engineering, design, and late night haunting representing thousands of hours by dedicated people to develop and refined a complete and functional performance car.
You are not just buying the parts to make cars, you’re buying an entire history of what it took to build the cars.

The Ghibli is more reliable and more user friendly. The steering wheel can be adjusted up/down and the seat back is adjustable. No such luck on the Daytona. This car has power steering while the Daytona feels like a truck at slow speed.
