After the dismal launch of the Aztec in 2000, GM wanted to get make the best out of a bad situation so they gave them to every service manager in the country to “get the word out”.
When I turned 16 and got my license, we got the Aztek. Bright yellow if I recall correctly, and rather than the usual 3 mos cycle, we had it for a full 7 mos.…”

“I love the early SHOs and had an 89, purchased in 92 while a young engineer at Ford. The car enthusiasts either had SHOs, fox body Mustangs or a Porsche (if you were willing to take the abuse from the neanderthal managers who were “only buy Ford” zealots). Once the first year gremlins were sorted, they were reliable (for a Ford) and perhaps the best all purpose sport sedan of the time.
