“I am the previous of this car and I knew the engineer that built the car. The builder was a very talented engineer and sadly he passed away. I knew the car and I bought it from his estate. The car is a blast to drive and I will miss it. The only reason I have for selling it is that I am getting old and I still have a bucket list of cars that I would like to own before it is too late. “My wife & I got married in July 1978. We packed her little red Chevette to the hilt with all of our wedding gifts and drove from Chicago to Houston with only gas stops along the way. Took us 24 hours! After a few years the drivers floor pan rusted through. A sheet of 3/8 plywood cut to size fixed that. It was no longer the Fred Flintstone mobile! One of my best friends ordered a ‘63 Galaxie 500 XL Oxford Blue convertible with the 406/405 Tri-Power engine …By the time it arrived it had the new upgraded 427/425 Dual Quad engine..I can vividly remember the first time opening the hood and seeing those chrome valve covers marked 427-T ….I believe the “T” was for transistor ignition.
The ‘63 Galaxie has always been my favorite Ford, especially the
“R” code Fastback version.”

“It’s incredible to see the one-year only chromed exhaust extensions! They were unique to 1975 Formulas and 400-powered Trans Ams.
For record, the chromed splitters, which were introduced on the 1974 GTO were included with the Trans Am’s “455 HO” package introduced in midyear 1975 and used throughout the remainder of the 1970s and into the 1980s.”

What a great car that was! Some of my favorite memories are cruising with my best friend in the Cadillac listening to Led Zeppelin. A true Party Barge! He passed away last year, still my best friend. Thanks for the memories”
