Prachuap Khiri Khan launches Wellness Tourism 2026 to promote province as international health destination
Prachuap Khiri Khan has launched Wellness Tourism 2026 as part of a plan to promote the province as an international health and wellness destination.
The event was announced at a press conference on Tuesday, 16 June, at Thung Noi Beach in Kui Buri district, chaired by Prachuap Khiri Khan Governor Sitthichai Sawat-saen.
He was joined by Lt Sitthichai Thantasit, Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Tourism and Sports Officer; Noppol Sukitpanich, Kui Buri District Chief; and Suwit Inkonglad, Deputy District Chief of Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan, who represented the provincial public health office.
Officials said Wellness Tourism 2026 is intended to bring together tourism, sport, music, arts and culture, local knowledge and health-related services, while supporting community businesses and the local economy.
Mr Sitthichai said Prachuap Khiri Khan has strong potential in health tourism because of its natural resources, beaches, seafood, local health knowledge and community products.
He said the province wants to use those strengths to create economic value, distribute income to local communities and support businesses including OTOP producers, farmers, fishermen and health service providers.
Wellness Tourism 2026 events

Wellness Tourism 2026 will be held in two main locations.
The first event will take place from 26 to 28 June at Thung Noi Beach in Kui Buri. Activities will include a 40-kilometre coastal cycling route, health promotion activities and a forum on the wellness economy.
The second event will be held from 3 to 5 July in front of Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Hall. It will focus on mental wellbeing and urban lifestyle activities, including 5km and 10km Night Run races, a healthy food zone, art and photography exhibitions, relaxation areas and other wellbeing activities.
Another highlight will be “The Sound of Wellness”, a concert programme featuring well-known Thai artists each evening from 6pm to 11pm. The programme will also include fire performances and special shows.
The event will also include a “Therapy & Wisdom” zone, featuring fresh seafood from local fishermen, OTOP products, agricultural products, Thai traditional medicine, local knowledge and health spa services.
The province said all activities will be free to join and expects the event to attract residents and tourists from Thailand and overseas.
