Pattaya City Holds Meeting to Address Homelessness and Support Reintegration
PATTAYA, 13th of August 2026– Damrongkiat Pinijkarn, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, chaired a meeting on Thursday to consider approaches for resolving the issues of homeless people and those without shelter in the city area.
Also attending were Suriwat Roemkitjakarn, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor of Pattaya City; Pimnara Bunnag, Assistant Secretary to the President of the Pattaya City Council; the Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City; heads of government agencies; representatives from the Chonburi Provincial Homeless Protection Center; and other related agencies. The meeting took place in Meeting Room 134 at Pattaya City Hall.
Pattaya City has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with network partners and relevant agencies to integrate efforts in systematically addressing the problems of the homeless and those without shelter. The initiative focuses on developing protection processes, promoting rights and welfare, and providing assistance to support appropriate reintegration into society. During the meeting, participants discussed measures to assist and improve the quality of life of homeless individuals and those without fixed accommodation.
Priority was given to promoting stable occupations and income, arranging suitable and permanent housing, ensuring access to public health services, and securing rights and welfare benefits from the government. The goal is to enable people to become self-reliant and live with dignity in society.
Pattaya City will continue to coordinate closely with government agencies, network partners, and related sectors to ensure assistance for the homeless and those without shelter is systematic and comprehensive, covering housing, health, employment, and welfare. The efforts goal to create opportunities for everyone to return to a stable life in society with a better quality of life.
